1.  오늘의 묵상칼럼 : 순종의 자리에서 주님의 능력으로 강건해지십시오

  그리스도인의 강건함은 자신의 의지나 능력에서 나오지 않습니다. 오직 주님 안에 거하며 그분의 능력을 의지할 때 우리는 영적으로 강건해질 수 있습니다. 바울은 에베소서 6장 10절에서 “주 안에서와 그 힘의 능력으로 강건하여지고”라고 권면합니다. 이는 자신의 힘으로 모든 것을 감당하려 하지 말고, 주님의 능력을 의지하며 살아가라는 말씀입니다.
오스왈드 챔버스는 한순간이라도 순종에서 벗어나면 어둠과 죽음이 급히 역사하기 시작한다고 일깨웁니다. 순종은 단순히 말씀을 아는 데서 끝나지 않습니다. 내가 원하는 길보다 주님이 기뻐하시는 길을 선택하고, 이해되지 않는 순간에도 주님의 말씀을 신뢰하며 따르는 것입니다. 순종에서 벗어날 때 우리의 마음은 자기 생각과 욕심에 사로잡히기 쉽고, 하나님과의 교제도 흐려질 수 있습니다.
   예수님은 마태복음 11장 25절에서 지혜롭고 슬기 있는 자들에게 숨기시고 어린아이들에게 나타내심을 감사하셨습니다. 이는 하나님 나라의 진리가 자신의 지혜를 자랑하는 사람보다 하나님 앞에서 겸손히 받아들이는 사람에게 드러남을 보여 줍니다. 참된 순종은 모든 것을 내 판단으로 해결하려는 태도를 내려놓고, 어린아이처럼 주님의 말씀을 믿고 받아들이는 데서 시작됩니다.
  오늘도 우리의 힘만으로 하루를 살아가려 하지 맙시다. 작은 일 하나에서도 주님의 뜻을 묻고, 깨달은 말씀에 즉시 순종하며, 넘어질 때마다 다시 주님께 나아갑시다. 순종은 주님의 능력을 의지하는 믿음의 표현이며, 주님 안에 거하는 삶의 열매입니다. 주님 안에 굳게 서서 그분의 능력으로 강건해지는 하루가 되기를 소망합니다.

<오늘의 기도>
주님, 제 생각과 고집을 앞세우지 않고 주님의 말씀에 귀 기울이게 하소서. 작은 일에서도 주님의 뜻을 분별하고, 깨달은 말씀에 지체하지 않고 순종하게 하소서. 제 힘이 아니라 주님의 능력으로 강건해져 어둠의 유혹을 이기고, 날마다 주님 안에 거하게 하소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

2. 오늘의 묵상칼럼(영어버전) : Be Strengthened by the Lord Through Obedience

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” — Ephesians 6:10 (NIV)

  “At that time Jesus said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.’” — Matthew 11:25 (NIV)

  The strength of a Christian does not come from personal determination or human ability. We become spiritually strong only when we remain in the Lord and depend on His mighty power. In Ephesians 6:10, the Apostle Paul encourages us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Rather than trying to carry every burden in our own strength, we are called to live each day relying on the Lord.

  Oswald Chambers reminds us that even turning away from obedience for a moment allows darkness and death to begin their work. Obedience is more than simply knowing God's Word. It means choosing what pleases the Lord rather than insisting on our own way, and trusting His Word even when we do not fully understand His purposes. When we turn away from obedience, our hearts can easily become consumed by our own desires and reasoning, and our fellowship with God can grow distant.

  In Matthew 11:25, Jesus praises the Father for revealing the truths of His kingdom to little children rather than to those who consider themselves wise and learned. This teaches us that spiritual truth is received not through pride in our own wisdom, but through a humble heart that is willing to receive what God reveals. True obedience begins when we stop trying to solve everything according to our own judgment and learn to trust the Lord with the simplicity of a child.

  Today, let us not attempt to live in our own strength. Let us seek the Lord's will even in the smallest matters, obey His Word without delay, and return to Him whenever we stumble. Obedience is an expression‎ of faith that depends on the Lord's power and a fruit of remaining in Him. May we stand firm in the Lord and experience His strength throughout this day.

<Prayer for Today>

  Lord, help me to listen to Your Word rather than place my own thoughts and stubborn desires first. Teach me to discern Your will in even the smallest matters and to obey You without delay. Strengthen me, not by my own power, but by Your mighty power, so that I may overcome the temptations of darkness and remain in You each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
