Waylon Jennings (1937 - 2002)1937년 6월 15일 미국 Texas주 'Littlefield'에서 태여난 'Waylon Jennings'는 고향인 'littlefield'에서 DJ로 활약하면서 노래를 부르기 시작했다... 1958년에 'Texas'의 'Luddock'으로 옮겨 'Rock N' Roll' Star Buddy Holly의 백 Band 였던 'Criketts'에 가담하여 Bass 연주자가 되였으나, 1959년에 'Buddy Holly'가 비행기 사고로 사망한 후에, 다시 'Arizona'주 'Phoenix'로 옮겨, 자신의 'Group'인 'Waylors'를 조직하여 'Country' 'Folk' Rock'을 연주 하면서 실력을 인정받기 시작 했지요... 1965년에는 기타리스트인 'chet Attkins'의 소개로 'RCA' 레코드사와 계약을 맺기도 했고, 그 이후로는 별 활동이 없다가 1970년대에 접어들면서부터 'Country Music'에 'Folk'이나 'Rock Music'을 융합한 style의 곡들로 다시 각광을 받기 시작했다, 1972년에는 'Ladies Love Outlaws'란 'Album'을 발매했고, 1973년에는 'Honky Tonk Heroes'를 출반했는데, 이 'Honky Tonk Heroes'에서는 고독하고 강열한 의지가 엿보이는 노래들이 담겨 있어 그의 음악 'style'을 엿볼 수 있게 하기도 했다. 1976년에 발표한 'Album' 'The Outlaws'는 'country Music' 역사에 잇어서 백만장 이상 의 판매 실적으로, 1980년대 초기까지의 통계로 볼 때 경이적인 기록이라고 할 수 있다, 1978년에는 'Willie Nelson'과 'Duet'으로 불렀던 'Are You Sure Hank Down This Way' 'Bob Wills Is Still the King'을 발표해서 미국 'single Chart'에 등장하기도 하였지만, 일부 그에 팬들은 'Country Music'의 이단자로 비난하기도 했다, 1982년에 'Shine'을 발표해 'Chaet' 상위권에까지 등장하는 쾌거를 맛보왔으며, 이'Album'에서도 자신만의 독특한 'Country Style'을 개발하려는 노력을 엿볼 수있다.
