What truly matters is whether we speak and act according to the Word and the Holy Spirit. When we follow God's Word and are led by the Holy Spirit, our authority comes from God.
Jesus did not directly reveal the gospel or the truth to those with ill intentions—those who opposed, hated, tested, or sought to kill Him. Instead, He veiled His answers, like a curtain covering the truth.
The authority of the church rests in Jesus. Therefore, participate faithfully in church life. Just as God sent Elijah, pastors, teachers, and shepherds are servants sent by God. These servants should not seek to please people but to please God. Their judgments must be guided by God's Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
By making sound judgments, we can live by faith today and continue to live by faith tomorrow.
