The stone the builders rejected has been made the chief cornerstone by God. Here, the builders represent the chief priests, scribes, and elders—those entrusted by the owner. However, they treated the owner's possessions as their own, persecuted and killed the servants sent by the owner (the prophets), and even killed the son of the owner when he came. This is Jesus foretelling His own death.
Yet, God made Him the chief cornerstone. It’s a stone that will shatter anyone who falls on it, and it will crush anyone it falls upon.
Though God is omniscient and omnipotent, He still desires our time, effort, and money to fulfill His will. These are necessary for our salvation; without them, we cannot be saved.
As you grow older, humble yourself, be teachable, and become someone who gains the trust and love of others.
