In today's passage, the widow gave all her living expenses to God, which must have immediately affected her daily life. For this widow, her offering was a life-or-death choice. Such an action stemmed from entrusting everything, including her life, to God and believing that He governs her life and existence. This is an act that could not be done without such faith.
The offerings we give hold significant meaning. They symbolize spiritual obedience to God, fulfilling the tasks He has entrusted to us, and serving Him as the Lord of our lives.
Let us repent of seeking to be seen by others, focus solely on the Lord for the remainder of our lives, and remember that only then will we hear His commendation when we stand before Him.
