118. The Way to Bless and the Way to Disaster, What is Wormwood in Christianity?

118. 복 받는 길과 화 받는 길, 기독교 안에 쑥물은 무엇이냐?

1. The way to receive blessings and the way to receive disaster (Jer 7:21-28)

1. 복 받는 길과 화 받는 길(렘7:21-28)

The worst thing is when those who revere God do not obey God's word. This is because they deliberately do not obey the word even though they have received God's mercy. When the people who know God do not obey this word, they are deliberately opposing God, and God cannot forgive them. It is not a blessing for us to be God's people, but the big question is whether we will go the way of blessing or the way of disaster. Now, the text testifies about the way of blessing and the way of disaster as follows.
  가장 악한 일은 하나님을 공경한다는 자들이 하나님 말씀을 순종치 않는 일입니다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 긍휼하심을 받고도 짐짓 그 말씀을 순종치 않는 일이기 때문입니다. 하나님을 모르는 이방인보다도 하나님을 안다는 백성이 이 말씀을 순종치 않을 때에 이것은 짐짓 하나님을 대적하는 일이니 하나님은 그들을 용서할 수가 없다는 것입니다. 우리는 하나님의 백성 된 것이 축복이 아니요, 복 받는 길을 가느냐, 화 받는 길을 가느냐 하는 것이 큰 문제입니다. 이제 복 받는 길과 화 받는 길에 대하여 다음과 같이 본문으로 증거 합니다.

1. The Way to Be Blessed (21-23)
1. 복 받는 길 (21-23)

@ Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. 22.  For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: 23.  But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people: and walk you in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.(Jer.7:21~23) @ 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하시되 너희 희생에 번제물을 아울러 그 고기를 먹으라. 22.  대저 내가 너희 열조를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 날에 번제나 희생에 대하여 말하지 아니하며 명하지 아니하고 23.  오직 내가 이것으로 그들에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 내 목소리를 들으라 그리하면 나는 너희 하나님이 되겠고 너희는 내 백성이 되리라 너희는 나의 명한 모든 길로 행하라 그리하면 복을 받으리라 하였으나 (렘7:21~23)

If God unconditionally blesses His people, it is not justice. Israel was led out of Egypt, but only a few people were blessed, and others suffered great calamity. This is a great lesson for us. Therefore, as God's people, we must clearly know what the path to blessing is.
  하나님께서 당신의 백성이라고 하여서 무조건 복을 주신다면 이것은 공의가 아닙니다. 이스라엘이 애굽에서 인도를 받아 나왔지만 복을 받은 자는 심히 적고, 그밖에 대중적으로 큰 화를 받게 된 것은 우리에게 큰 교훈이 되는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 백성으로서 복 받는 길이 무엇이라는 것을 분명히 알아야 합니다.

First: Obedience is more important than sacrifice(21-23).
첫째 : 제사보다도 순종이 필요합니다(21-23상).

God said that He is the God of those who obey rather than those who offer sacrifices. This is because no matter how many sacrifices are offered, if there is no obedience, God cannot work. God always gives orders and works on those who obey the orders. Sacrifice is offered for the purpose of obedience, so if you offer a sacrifice but do not obey, you have departed from the original purpose of the sacrifice and cannot be accepted.
  하나님께서는 제사를 드리는 것보다도 순종하는 자의 하나님이 되신다고 하셨습니다. 왜냐하면 아무리 제사를 드려도 순종치 않으면 하나님은 역사할 수가 없기 때문입니다. 하나님께서는 언제나 명령을 내려 그 명령을 순종하는 자에게 역사하십니다. 제사라는 것은 순종하기 위한 목적에서 드리는 것이니, 제사를 드리고도 순종치 않는다면 제사의 본의를 떠났기 때문에 받을 수가 없다는 것입니다.

A sacrificial offering is something that a lacking person offers to God as an expression‎ of his or her obedience, but if there is no obedience, God has no need to accept the sacrifice. Even if the only begotten Son died on the cross and became a sacrificial offering, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is ineffective for those who do not obey. The sacrifice of our Lord on the cross responds only to those who obey because it is a cross that died for sin. 희생의 제물이라는 것은 부족한 인생이 하나님께 순종하겠다는 것으로 드리는 것인데, 순종이 없다면 하나님께서는 그 제사를 받을 필요가 없게 됩니다. 아무리 독생자가 십자가에 죽어서 희생의 제물이 되었다 하여도 순종치 않는 자에게는 예수의 십자가의 제사라는 것은 효과를 이루지 못하는 것입니다.  우리 주님의 십자가의 제사가 순종하는 자에게만 응답을 나리는 것은 죄를 위하여 죽은 십자가이기 때문입니다.

Therefore, the sacrifice of the Lord's cross cannot be effective for those who commit sins, but only for those who repent of their sins and obey God. Just as in the Old Testament, those who offered sacrifices but did not obey made the sacrifices invalid, even if they receive the Lord's cross now, those who do not obey will have their faith in the cross invalid. Therefore, when those who obey know the cross correctly and pray, God responds by saying, "I am your God," and God's work is always with them.

  그러므로 죄를 짓는 자에게 효과를 줄 수 없고 죄를 회개하고 하나님께 순종하는 자에게만 효과를 주시는 것이 주님의 십자가의 제사입니다. 구약 시대에 제사를 드려도 순종치 않는 자는 그 제사가 무효가 된 것 같이 지금도 순종치 않는 자에게는 주님의 십자가를 받는다 하여도 그 십자가를 믿는다는 것이 무효가 되고 맙니다. 그러므로 순종하는 자가 십자가를 바로 알고 기도 할 때에 하나님은 나는 네 하나님이라는 응답을 나리시므로 하나님의 역사가 항상 같이하는 것입니다.

Second: It is necessary to walk in all ways rather than just hear (23b).
둘째 : 귀로 듣는 것보다도 모든 길로 행하는 것이 필요합니다. (23하).

If you hear the word but do not act on it, what you heard will be of no use. However, when you hear it and act on it, God will bless you according to His word. God will absolutely protect and bless those who follow His word even if it is painful, rather than acting because we are blessed. Therefore, the way for us to be blessed is to hear the word and act on it, rather than to make sacrifices.
  말씀을 듣고라도 그 길로 행치 아니하면 들은 것이 무효가 될 것이로되 듣고서 그 길로 행할 때에 하나님께서는 말씀대로 복을 주시는 것입니다. 우리가 복을 받으므로 행한다는 것보다도 괴로워도 그 말씀대로 따라오는 자를 절대로 보호하시고 복을 주시되 만족히 주시게 됩니다. 그러므로 우리가 복 받는 길은 제사보다도 그 말씀을 듣고 그 길로 행하는 것입니다.

If the sacrifice is to obey the word, then the life of our saints is to follow the word. God gives blessings to the people, and it is the work of justice to give them to those who act according to the word. If blessings were given without practice, then the word of God would have no value. However, it is precious because it gives blessings to those who hear the word and act according to the word.

제사라는 것은 말씀대로 순종하겠다는 것이 제사라면 우리 성도의 생활은 말씀대로 따라가는 것이 생활이 됩니다. 하나님께서는 복을 백성에게 주시되 말씀대로 행하는 자에게 주는 것이 공의의 역사라는 것입니다. 만일 실천이 없어도 복을 준다면 하나님의 말씀이라는 것은 아무런 가치를 발휘하지 못하게 됩니다. 그러나 말씀을 듣고 그 말씀대로 행하는 자에게 복을 주시기 때문에 귀하다는 것입니다.

2. The way to receive disaster(24-28)
2. 화 받는 길 (24-28)

@ But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. 25.  Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: 26.  Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers. 27.  Therefore you shall speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to you: you shall also call unto them; but they will not answer you. 28.  But you shall say unto them, This is a nation that obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, nor received correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.(Jer.7:24~28) @ 그들이 청종치 아니하며 귀를 기울이지도 아니하고 자기의 악한 마음의 꾀와 강퍅한 대로 행하여 그 등을 내게로 향하고 그 얼굴을 향치 아니하였으며 25.  너희 열조가 애굽 땅에서 나온 날부터 오늘까지 내가 내 종 선지자들을 너희에게 보내었으되 부지런히 보내었으나 26.  너희가 나를 청종치 아니하며 귀를 기울이지 아니하고 목을 굳게 하여 너희 열조보다 악을 더 행하였느니라. 27.  ○네가 그들에게 이 모든 말을 할찌라도 그들이 너를 청종치 아니할 것이요 네가 그들을 불러도 그들이 네게 대답지 아니하리니 28.  너는 그들에게 말하기를 너희는 너희 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 청종치 아니하며 교훈을 받지 아니하는 국민이라 진실이 없어져 너희 입에서 끊어졌다 할찌니라. (렘7:24~28)

What makes God angry is that they say they are God's people but do not listen to His words. This is an act that destroys God's church, so when God's people do not listen to His words, He is angry without mercy. Now, I will testify about the way to receive disaster through the text.
  하나님을 노엽게 하는 일은 하나님의 백성이라 하면서 그 말씀을 청종치 않는 일입니다. 이것은 하나님의 교회를 파괴시키는 행동이 되기 때문에 하나님의 백성이 그 말씀을 청종치 않을 때에 용서 없이 화를 내리는 것입니다. 이제 화 받는 길에 대하여 본문으로 증거합니다.

First: It is the work of acting according to the trickery and stubbornness of an evil heart (24)
첫째 : 악한 마음의 꾀와 강팍한 대로 행하는 일입니다(24)

The reason why the hearts of God's people become evil is because when they do not obey God's words, God's work leaves and the evil devil comes in and works strongly instead. When God's children are ruled by the devil, the devil works more strongly in their hearts than when they belong to the devil, so they become more evil than before. For example, it is like an army that becomes stronger when it conquers another country's territory than its own territory. The devil does not act violently against a person who belongs to the devil, but when God's people do not obey the words, the devil does. Therefore, people who do not obey the words have the tricks and stubbornness of an evil heart, so they act in opposition to God.
  하나님의 백성의 마음이 악해지는 것은 하나님의 말씀을 순종치 않을 때에 하나님의 역사가 떠나가고 악한 마귀가 대신 들어와서 강하게 역사하기 때문입니다. 마귀에게 속한 사람보다도 하나님의 자녀가 마귀의 지배를 받게 되면 마귀가 더 강하게 마음에서 역사하기 때문에 옛날 보다 더 악한 사람이 되는 것입니다. 예를 든다면 군대가 자기의 영토보다도 남의 나라 영토를 점령하게 될 때에 더 강하게 가는 것과 같습니다. 마귀에 속한 사람에게는 마귀가 발악적인 행동을 하지 않아도 하나님의 백성이 말씀을 순종치 않을 때에는 마귀가 발악적인 행동을 하게 됩니다. 그러므로 말씀을 순종치 않는 백성은 악한 마음의 꾀와 강팍이 있게 되므로 하나님과 대적이 되는 행동을 하게 되는 것입니다.

Second: It is against the words of the true prophet (25-28).
둘째 : 참된 선지의 말을 거역하는 일입니다(25-28)

From the time the physical Israelites left Egypt until they were destroyed by Babylon, they were a people who did not listen to the words of the true prophets. They listened to the words of false prophets but did not listen to the words of true prophets, so they were destroyed. Likewise, if the church today likes to listen to the words of false prophets and does not listen to the words of true prophets, this is a path to disaster. A true prophet will deliver the word of God as it is, regardless of whether they listen or not, without sparing even a little of their life. Anyone who does not obey the words of a true prophet will suffer great disaster.
  육적 이스라엘이 애굽에서 나올 때부터 바벨론에게 멸망할 때까지 참된 선지의 말을 듣지 않는 백성이었습니다. 거짓 선지의 말은 잘 들으면서도 참된 선지의 말을 듣지 않았기 때문에 멸망을 받은 것입니다. 이와 같이 만일 오늘에 교회가 거짓 선지의 말은 듣기를 좋아하고 참된 선지의 말은 듣기 싫어한다면 이것이 화 받을 길입니다. 참된 선지는 하나님의 말씀을 듣든지 말든지 그대로 전하되 조금도 생명을 아끼지 않는 것이니, 누구든지 참된 선지의 말을 순종치 않는 자는 큰 화를 받게 되는 것입니다.

Even if they are God's people, they are abandoned when they do not obey the Word because God cannot defeat the devil without judging according to the Word. God uses the devil to bless those who obey and follow the Word according to the Word, and to punish those who do not obey and follow according to the Word, so that He can create a perfect nation. Israel being liberated from Egypt by the blood of a lamb signified the liberation movement that spread Christianity throughout the world, and those who do not obey the Word are eaten by the enemy's country, and those who obey are victorious over the enemy and restore Jerusalem, which teaches judgment and a new era at the end of Christianity. 아무리 하나님의 백성이라도 말씀을 순종치 않을 때에 버리게 되는 것은 하나님은 말씀대로 심판하는 일이 없이는 마귀를 이길 수가 없기 때문입니다. 하나님께서 마귀를 들어 쓰시는 것은 말씀대로 순종하고 따라 오는 자에게 말씀대로 복을 주고, 말씀대로 순종치 않고 따라 오지 않는 자에게 말씀대로 화를 주므로 완전한 나라를 이루기 위한 것입니다. 이스라엘이 양의 피로 애굽에서 해방을 받은 것은 기독교가 세계에 전파되는 해방 운동을 뜻했고, 말씀에 순종치 않는 자를 원수의 나라에게 먹힘을 당하게 하고 순종하는 자로 원수를 이기고 예루살렘을 복구하게 한 것은 기독교 종말에 심판과 새 시대를 교훈한 것입니다.

Conclusion: The salvation of the soul lies in receiving forgiveness of sins, and the blessings and curses of God's people lie in obeying or disobeying the prophecies of the prophets. We are in a time of testing to see whether we will be blessed or disaster, so we must obey with a heart that trembles at the word in order to receive the blessings of the earthly kingdom. 결  론
  영혼 구원은 죄 사함을 받는 데 있고, 하나님의 백성이 복을 받는 것과 화를 받는 것은 선지의 예언을 순종하고 순종하지 않는 데 있습니다. 우리는 복을 받느냐, 화를 받느냐 하는 시험기에 처해 있는 것이니 말씀을 떠는 마음에서 순종하는 자가 되어야 지상 왕국의 축복을 받게 될 것입니다.

@ Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you come forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.(Jer.1:5) @ 내가 너를 복중에 짓기 전에 너를 알았고 네가 태에서 나오기 전에 너를 구별하였고 너를 열방의 선지자로 세웠노라 하시기로 (렘1:5) @ See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. (Jer.1:10) @ 보라 내가 오늘날 너를 열방 만국 위에 세우고 너로 뽑으며 파괴하며 파멸하며 넘어뜨리며 건설하며 심게 하였느니라.(렘1:10) @ And he said unto me, You must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. (Rev.10:11) @ 저가 내게 말하기를 네가 많은 백성과 나라와 방언과 임금에게 다시 예언하여야 하리라 하더라.(계10:11)

Ⅱ. What is Wormwood in Christianity? - Rev.8:11-12, Jer. 23:13-17Ⅱ. 기독교 안에 쑥물은 무엇이냐  -계8:11～12, 렘23:13～17-

@ And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11.  And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.(Rev.8:11~12) @ 셋째 천사가 나팔을 부니 횃불같이 타는 큰 별이 하늘에서 떨어져 강들의 삼분의 일과 여러 물샘에 떨어지니 11.  이 별 이름은 쑥이라 물들의 삼분의 일이 쑥이 되매 그 물들이 쓰게 됨을 인하여 많은 사람이 죽더라.(계8:11~12)

God showed us the sight of clear rivers and springs becoming mugwort water. This means that the mugwort water that will destroy the spiritual world at the end of Christianity will come from a big star. The big star refers to the servants and leaders who will destroy Christianity by producing mugwort water. When the Old Testament temple was devastated, it was the price paid for the leaders’ sin of feeding mugwort water. It also teaches us that the church in the end times, which was as spiritual as clear rivers and springs, will be destroyed because mugwort water is coming in. Now, what is mugwort water?
  하나님께서 맑은 강과 샘이 쑥물이 되는 광경을 보여준 것이니 기독교 종말에 영계를 망치는 쑥물이 큰 별로부터 온다는 것입니다. 큰 별은 쑥물을 내어서 기독교를 망칠 종이요, 지도자를 말한 것입니다. 구약 성전이 황폐 될 때에도 지도자가 쑥물을 먹인 죄값이었고 말세 교회가 맑은 강과 샘물같이 신령하였으나 쑥물이 들어오므로 망쳐질 것을 가르친 것입니다.
  이제 쑥물은 무엇이냐는 것을 말합니다.

1. It is an abomination (14)
1. 가증한 일입니다 (14)

@ I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none do return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. (Jer.23:14) @ 내가 예루살렘 선지자들 중에도 가증한 일이 있음을 보았나니 그들은 간음을 행하며 행악자의 손을 굳게 하여 사람으로 그 악에서 돌이킴이 없게 하였은즉 그들은 다 내 앞에서 소돔 사람과 다름이 없고 그 거민은 고모라 사람과 다름이 없느니라.(렘23:14)

Abomination is something that has become worldly by compromising with the world while claiming to respect God. Christianity is like a virgin engaged to the groom Jesus, so it is an abomination for the church, which is supposed to welcome the King of kings as its groom, to oppose the King of kings and become worldly and compromise. This abomination is something that the Lord hates. For example, the thing that a man hates the most is when the woman he married has her heart set on someone else. This kind of people should repent thoroughly and return. Repentance means cutting off the world, which is true repentance.
  가증이라는 것은 하나님을 공경한다 하면서 세상과 타협해서 속화된 일을 말한 것입니다. 기독교는 신랑 예수님과 약혼한 처녀와 같은 것이니 만왕의 왕을 신랑으로 모실 교회가 만왕의 왕을 대적하고 세속에 물들어 타협하는 것이 가증이라는 것입니다. 이 가증은 주님께서 볼 때 밉게 본다는 것입니다. 예를 들면 남자로서 제일 미운 물건은 자기와 결혼한 여자가 다른 데로 마음을 두는 일일 것입니다. 이런 무리는 철저히 회개하고 돌아오라는 것입니다. 회개라는 것은 세상을 끊어 버리는 것이 참된 회개라 하는 것입니다.

2. It is evil (15)
2. 사악입니다 (15)

@ Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. (Jer.23:15) @ 그러므로 만군의 여호와 내가 선지자에 대하여 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 그들에게 쑥을 먹이며 독한 물을 마시우리니 이는 사악이 예루살렘 선지자들에게로서 나와서 온 땅에 퍼짐이라 하시니라.(렘23:15)

There is evil and there is also cruelty and wickedness. The cruelty refers to the evil that appears to people, and the evil refers to the behavior of the Pharisees who appear righteous on the outside but are evil at heart. Christianity is a religion that deals with God, so evil is like the wormwood that kills the soul.
  악도 포악과 사악이 있으니 포악이라는 것은 사람이 보기에 나타나는 악을 말했고 사악이라는 것은 겉은 옳게 보이면서 중심이 악한 바리새인 같은 행동입니다. 기독교는 하나님을 상대하는 종교이니 사악이라는 것은 영혼을 죽이는 쑥물이 될 것입니다.

3. Speaking as you please (16)
3. 자기 마음대로 말하는 것 (16)

@ Thus say the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.(Jer.23:16) @ 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희에게 예언하는 선지자들의 말을 듣지 말라 그들은 너희에게 헛된 것을 가르치나니 그들의 말한 묵시는 자기 마음으로 말미암은 것이요 여호와의 입에서 나온 것이 아니니라.(렘23:16)

When a servant of God has his own way, he automatically becomes a wormwood. Being a servant is against the law except to please the heart of the master, so the law becomes a wormwood. In other words, if a servant likes to babble on the pulpit with vain words and worldly knowledge, then the pulpit becomes a wormwood.
  하나님의 종은 자기 마음대로라는 것이 있을 때 자동적으로 쑥물을 내는 것입니다. 종이라는 것은 주인의 마음을 기쁘게 하겠다는 것 외에는 위법이니 위법은 쑥물이 되는 것입니다. 다시 말하면 강단에서는 종이 헛된 말로 세상 적인 지식으로 지절거리기를 좋아한다면 그 강단은 쑥물이 되는 것입니다.

4. It is said that there is peace for those who despise God (17)
4. 하나님을 멸시하는 자에게 평안이 있다는 말입니다 (17)

@ They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD have said, You shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.(Jer.23:17) @ 항상 그들이 나를 멸시하는 자에게 이르기를 너희가 평안하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 하며 또 자기 마음의 강퍅한대로 행하는 모든 사람에게 이르기를 재앙이 너희에게 임하지 아니하리라 하였느니라.(렘23:17)

This is a policy of using one's own sovereignty to include a person who does not obey God's will and despises His word, rather than teaching the word correctly. To put it more precisely, it is saying that we are people who revere God, so no disaster will come, but in reality, it is despising God's word.
  이것은 하나님의 뜻을 순종치 않고 그 말씀을 멸시하는 자에게 말씀을 바로 가르치는 것보다도 자기의 주권으로 그 사람을 포섭하는 방침을 쓰는 것입니다. 세밀히 말하자면 우리는 하나님을 공경하는 사람이니 아무런 재앙이 오지 못하리라 말하면서 실제는 하나님의 말씀을 멸시하는 일입니다.

Conclusion God said that He would hit the heads of the wicked like a storm and a whirlwind toward the temple of Jerusalem, who opposed the true prophet Jeremiah, even after drinking this mugwort water. He said that when He does this, you will fully understand. Those who drink mugwort water will also have great regrets when destruction comes. This mugwort water is a temptation of the devil to fall into destruction, so mugwort is something that gives temporary feelings, emotions, and excitement. Living a true life is only possible when we walk in obedience to the word without adding to or subtracting from it, so whether we add to or subtract from the word, its teaching is mugwort that kills the spirit.
  결    론
  하나님은 이러한 쑥물을 먹고도 참된 선지 예레미야를 대적하는 예루살렘 성전을 향하여 악인의 머리를 폭풍과 회리바람 같이 치겠다고 말한 것입니다.
  이와 같이 할 때 너희들은 완전히 깨달으리라고 말한 것입니다. 쑥물을 먹는 자도 멸망이 올 때는 후회 막심 해 진다는 것입니다. 이 쑥물은 멸망에 떨어뜨리려는 마귀의 미혹이니 임시 기분, 감정, 흥분을 주는 것이 쑥물이 되는 것입니다.
