Jesus Himself became flesh and blood, serving us as bread and wine. Believing in such a Jesus, yet competing over who is greater, more capable, or more important, is improper.
However, the time these disciples spent with Jesus was not in vain; they eventually became apostles. Though we may seem like a disorganized group now, we too should hold onto the same hope.
Just as the Father granted the kingdom to Jesus, He grants it to us. He has given us the Kingdom of God, to rule and govern it. Therefore, we must receive the Holy Spirit and carry out the work of God's kingdom with the authority of the Spirit. We must become co-laborers with Jesus to fulfill God's work.
