청와대 신임 정책실장에 하준경 청와대 경제성장수석이 임명됐다고 청와대가 1일 밝혔다. 김용범 전 정책실장이 사퇴한 지 한 달 만이다.

성기홍 청와대 홍보소통수석은 이날 브리핑에서 하 신임 실장 임명을 전하며 “공정 성장과 양극화 해소 등을 성장 전략에 결합해온 대표적 학자”라며 “앞으로 사회정책과 경제정책을 두루 아우르며 국민의 삶과 직결된 분야에서 정책 변화를 만들어갈 것으로 기대된다”고 했다.

전북 전주 출신 하 신임 실장은 한양대 경제학부 교수를 거쳐 지난 두 차례 대선 때부터 이 대통령 경제 참모로 활동해 왔다. 경제성장수석으로 일하던 하 신임 실장이 정책실장으로 승진하면서, 이 대통령이 기존 정책 기조를 그대로 가져가겠다는 뜻을 비친 것으로 해석된다. 이 대통령 국정 지지율 하락 요인으로 부동산 정책을 비롯한 경제 정책이 지목됐으나, 정책 라인에 큰 변화를 주지 않은 것이다.

신임 경제성장수석에는 문신학 산업통상부 차관이 임명됐다. 전남 해남 출신인 문 수석은 행정고시 38회로 입직해 산업부에서 대변인·차관 등을 지냈다. 문재인 정부 때 산업부 원전산업정책관으로 탈원전 정책을 이끌었고 월성 원전 관련 자료 삭제 혐의로 구속 기소됐지만, 작년 5월 대법원에서 무죄를 받았다.

이 대통령은 또 대통령비서실 평화외교특별보좌관에 송영길 더불어민주당 의원을, 국방정책특별보좌관에 김병주 민주당 의원을 각각 위촉했다. 재정경제부 제1차관엔 권대영 금융위원회 부위원장을, 국토교통부 제2차관엔 정의경 국토교통부 국토도시실장을 임명했다. 지방시대위원장엔 충남 부여 출신 박정현 전 부여군수를 위촉했다.

성 수석은 “개혁의 실제 결과물을 만들어야 하며, 국민 통합으로 미래 세대의 길을 열어야 한다”며 “이재명 정부는 국민이 체감하는 변화를 만들어 가는 데 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 했다.

Cheong Wa Dae announced on the 1st that Ha Joon-kyung, Cheong Wa Dae’s chief of economic growth, has been appointed as the new policy chief. This comes a month after the resignation of former policy chief Kim Yong-beom.

Moon Shin-hak, vice minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, was appointed as the new economic growth chief. Moon, from Haenam, South Jeolla Province, entered government service through the 38th Grade 5 civil service examination and held roles such as spokesperson and vice minister at the industry ministry. During the Moon Jae-in administration, he led the nuclear phase-out policy as head of nuclear power plant policy at the industry ministry and was indicted over allegations of deleting data related to the Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant. However, he was acquitted by the Supreme Court in May last year.

Kwon Dae-young, vice chairman of the Financial Services Commission, was named first vice minister of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, while Jung Eun-kyung, head of the land and urban division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, became vice minister for transport. Park Jeong-hyeon, former mayor of Buyeo County, South Chungcheong Province, was appointed chairman of the Local Era Committee.
