The FBI says it's discovered 2,000 records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
That's as the federal agencies work to comply with President Donald Trump's executive order to release thousands of classified files.
The FBI said that it's working to transfer the documents to the National Archives and Records Administration to be included in the declassification process.
In the early 1990s, the federal government mandated that all documents related to November 22, 1963 assassination in Dallas be housed in a single collection at the National Archives.
The majority of the collection has been released.
