너를 기다리는 꽃 — 나팔꽃

이임선

너 없는 시간이 길어질수록

담장 아래 하나둘 피어나

잊으려 해도 지워지지 않는 이름처럼

아침이면 또다시 피어나 부른다

닿을 수 없다는 걸

알고 있지만

햇살 한 줌에 목숨을 다하며

매일 피워내는 이름 나팔꽃

간절한 마음 하나

꽃으로 전하고 싶었어

바람이 지나가면

혹시 그 숨결일까 돌아보고

저녁 노을에 번지는 꽃잎 바라보며

한참을 서성이게 되는 덧없음을

기다림도 사랑이라면

매일 한 송이 꽃이 되어

그 자리에 서 있으리라팔꽃

Flower Waiting for You-Morning Glory

The longer you are gone,

the more flowers bloom.

Each morning they blossom,

one by one beneath the wall,

calling your name,

as though they could never forget you.

I know I can no longer reach you,

yet I long to convey my earnest heart,

like a morning glory

striving every day beneath a handful of sunlight

simply to bloom.

Whenever the wind passes by,

I wonder if it is your breath.

Gazing at its petals glowing in the evening light.

I linger there, longing in vain.

If waiting can be called love,

I wish I could become a morning glory every day,

forever standing there,

waiting for you.
