여호와여 내가 주께 부르짖으오니 나의 반석이여 내게 귀를 막지마소서

To you I call, O LORD my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me.

주께서 내게 잠잠하시면 내가 무덤에 내려가는 자와 같을까 하나이다

For if you remain silent, I will be like those who have gone down to the pit.

내가 주의 성소를 향하여 나의 손을 들고 주께 부르짖을 때에

Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help,

나의 간구하는 소리를 들으소서

as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

악인과 행악하는 자와 함께 나를 끌지 마옵소서

Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil,

저희는 그 이웃 에게 화평을 말하나 그 마음에는 악독이 있나이다

who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.

저희는 여호와의 행하신 일과 손으로 지으신것을 생각지 아니하므로

Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD and what his hands have done,

여호와께서 저희를 파괴하고 건설치 아니 하시리로다

he will tear them down and never build them up again.

Praise be to the LORD,

내 간구하는 소리를 들으심이로다

for he has heard my cry for mercy.

여호와는 나의 힘과 나의 방패시니

The LORD is my strength and my shield;

내 마음이 저를 의지하여 도움을 얻었도다

my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.

(다같이) 여호와는 저희의 힘이시요 그 기름 부음 받은 자의 구원의 산성이시로다. 아멘.

The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

이 모든 것을 깨달았느냐 하시니 대답하되 그러하오이다 예수께서 가라사대 그러므로 천국의 제자 된 서기관마다 마치 새것과 옛것을 그 곳간에서 내어오는 집주인과 같으니라 예수께서 이 모든 비유를 마치신 후에 거기를 떠나서 고향으로 돌아가사 저희 회당에서 가르치시니 저희가 놀라 가로되 이 사람의 이 지혜와 이런 능력이 어디서 났느뇨 이는 그 목수의 아들이 아니냐 그 모친은 마리아, 그 형제들은 야고보, 요셉, 시몬, 유다라 하지 않느냐 그 누이들은 다 우리와 함께 있지 아니하냐 그런즉 이 사람의 이 모든 것이 어디서 났느뇨 하고 예수를 배척한지라 예수께서 저희에게 말씀하시되 선지자가 자기 고향과 자기 집 외에서는 존경을 받지 않음이 없느니라 하시고 저희의 믿지 않음을 인하여 거기서 많은 능력을 행치 아니하시니라 마태복음 13:51-58

"Have you understood all these things?" They said to Him, "Yes." And Jesus said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old." When Jesus had finished these parables, He departed from there. He came to His hometown and began teaching them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, "Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers? "Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? "And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?" And they took offense at Him But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household." And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief. Matthew 13:53-58

천국의 제자 된 이들 Those who became the disciples of the kingdom of heaven

마태복음 13장 전체를 통하여 주님은 일곱 가지의 비유를 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 그 모든 것은 천국에 관한 것들이었습니다. 가장 중요하고 분명한 것은 이 천국이 죽어서 가는 천국이 아니라 이 땅에 신앙의 여정 중에서 이루어지는 것이라는 사실입니다. 따라서 여기 말씀하신 모든 천국의 비유는 출애굽 여정 중에 가나안에 들어간 신앙의 삶을 가리키는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

또 한 가지 주목할 만한 사실은 주께서 이 비유들을 유독 제자들에게만 제한적으로 설명해 주셨다는 것입니다. 따라서 이 시대를 살아가는 신앙인들의 입장에서는 이 제자라는 신분에 대해 분명하게 알고 갈 필요가 있습니다. 물론 우리의 시대는 2000년 전처럼 주님을 만나지는 못합니다. 그러나 이처럼 중요한 제자라는 신분이 당대에 소수의 사람들에게만 국한되었다고 여겨지지는 않습니다.

실상, 제자를 정의함에 있어서 주님이 즐겨 사용하신 표현은 “너희가 내 안에, 내가 너희 안에”라는 것입니다. 이는 오늘날 우리가 사용하는 “그리스도와의 연합”과 정확히 일치하는 표현입니다. 그러므로 “천국의 제자 된”이라는 표현에서 천국은 곧 예수 그리스도 자신임을 알 때, 그 제자라 함은 곧 주와 연합한 이들을 의미하게 됩니다. 이로써 모든 시대를 막론하고 그리스도 안에 연합한 이들이 곧 제자 됨을 알 수 있습니다.

주님은 여러 종류의 제자들 중에 굳이 천국의 제자 된 “서기관”을 지칭하셨습니다. 서기관은 오늘로 하자면 신학자와 같습니다. 많은 성경 지식을 가진 이들이었습니다. 흔히 은혜로 혹은 믿음으로 의롭다 함을 얻는다 하니 성경에 대한 지식은 필요악 정도로 치부되는 경향이 있는데 이에 대하여 주님은 그렇지 않음을 말씀하신 것입니다. 제자 됨은 그리스도와 연합함으로만 되는데 이는 전적 하나님의 은혜입니다.

하지만 주와 하나 된 믿음으로 의롭다 함을 얻는 제자의 믿음을 가진 이들에게 성경지식은 큰 유익이 있다는 말씀입니다. 이는 옛 것과 새 것을 마음대로 가져내오는 집주인과 같다 하신 것입니다. 집주인은 주님이시니 주께서 우리에게 오셔서 하나 되심이 단순히 오셨다 하나 되셨다는 것으로 끝나는 것이 아니라는 말씀입니다. 수많은 세월의 하나님의 섭리가 말씀으로 이루어지고 그것의 결국이 증거 하는 바가 곧 그리스도와 연합입니다.

그리고 난 후 예수님의 가족과 본향 사람들에 대한 기록입니다. 저들은 오히려 주님의 어린 시절과 성장을 잘 알기에 주를 배척하였습니다. 여기에도 아주 중요한 점이 담겨 있습니다. 왜 이런 기록이 남겨졌을까요? 주님이 그러하셨으니 우리도 가족들에게 배척을 받아야 당연한 것일까요? 그렇지 않습니다. 그리스도의 빛은 가까운 데서부터 비추게 되어 있습니다. 그렇습니다. 여기서 중요한 점은 주님이 나의 가족이나 고향에서 나시게 되어 있다는 사실입니다.

저들이 본 것은 무엇이었습니까? 주님의 지혜와 능력이었습니다. 주와 연합한 이에게서 주님의 지혜와 능력이 나타나는 것은 당연한 일입니다. 이러한 사실을 모르기에 그것이 주님의 능력이라고 인정할 수 없었던 것입니다. 저는 우리들에게서 주님의 지혜와 능력이 나타나는 것을 기다리고 바라고 있습니다. 그 지혜를 발견하고 그 능력을 인정할 수 있는 민감한 감각은 겸손함과 두려움에서 비롯됩니다.

Throughout Matthew 13, the Lord spoke of seven metaphors. And all of them were about heaven. The most important and obvious is that this heaven is not a dying heaven, but a journey of faith on this land. Therefore, you can see that all the metaphors of heaven mentioned here refer to the life of faith in Canaan during the journey of Exodus.

Another notable fact is that the Lord has only given these metaphors limited explanations to his disciples. Therefore, it is necessary for believers living in this era to have a clear understanding of the status of this disciple. Of course, we do not meet the Lord in our time as we did 2000 years ago. However, this status of important disciples is not considered to be limited to a small number of people at the time.

In fact, in defining his disciples, the Lord's favorite expression‎ is, "You are in me, I am in you," which is exactly the same expression‎ as the "Union with Christ" we use today. Therefore, in the expression‎ "become a disciple of heaven," when you know that heaven is Jesus Christ himself, that disciple means those who are united with the Lord. This shows that those who are united in Christ of all ages are soon disciples.

The Lord referred to "the scribe" who became a disciple of heaven among various kinds of disciples. The scribe is like a theologian today. They were people with a lot of knowledge of the Bible. Knowledge of the Bible tends to be regarded as a necessary evil because it is often justified by grace or faith, but the Lord said that it is not. Being a disciple only involves uniting with Christ, which is entirely God's grace.

However, it means that biblical knowledge is of great benefit to those who have disciples' beliefs who gain righteousness through one faith with the Lord. This is like a landlord bringing out the old and new at will. It means that because the landlord is the Lord, it does not end with the Lord coming to us and becoming one. Many years of God's providence are made up of words, and in the end, it is the union with Christ that proves it.

Then it's a record about Jesus' family and the people back home. Rather, they rejected the state because they knew the Lord well about his childhood and growth. There is a very important point here, too. Why was this record left? Is it natural for us to be ostracized by our families because the Lord did? No. The light of Christ shines from the near distance. Yes. The important point here is that the Lord is to come from my family or hometown.

What were they seeing? It was the Lord's wisdom and ability. It is only natural that the Lord's wisdom and ability appear in those who are united with the Lord. Not knowing this fact, I could not admit that it was the Lord's ability. I am waiting for the Lord's wisdom and ability to appear in us. The sensitive sense to discover that wisdom and recognize that ability comes from humility and fear.
