안녕하세요. 보스톤 한인 교회 이영길 목사입니다. 긴급한 협조를 구합니다. 저희 교회 1개월된 아이가 현재 면역결핍증을 안고 내어나서 한 두 달 안에 골수 이식을 받아야 합니다.
백인들에 비해 아시안들의 기증자 수가 적어서 아직도 매칭되는 분을 찾지 못하고 있습니다. 그리고 기증자는 18-40세에 해당되어야 합니다.

아울러 여러분의 공동체(종교단체)에 부탁드립니다. 영어 자료도 첨부합니다. 현재 개신교 공동체에는 많이 알려진 상태입니다. 감사합니다.

Whom It May Concern,
We are writing to ask for your support in a critical and urgent request. Baby Stella Kim, who was born in September in Cambridge, MA, is in desperate need of a hematopoietic stem cell transplant (bone marrow transplantation) due to a severe immune deficiency condition diagnosed with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID). Her family is urgently seeking a matching donor to save her life.
Your community’s participation in the stem cell donor registry could offer hope to Stella and countless others battling life-threatening illnesses. Unfortunately, there is a significant shortage of Asian/Korean donors compared to white donors, which presents an additional challenge. We kindly ask for your support in overcoming this disparity by encouraging more people to join the registry.
Please share this message, the attached flyer, and the instructions for registering as a donor with your community and those around you, encouraging adults aged 18~40 to participate. Your small action today could provide hope for not only Stella but also future generations of Asian patients in need.
We are incredibly grateful for your time and consideration. Together, we can make a difference not just for Stella but for many others who are waiting for a second chance at life.
