<p>Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”</p><p> </p><p>The "living water" Jesus spoke of is the Holy Spirit given by God, and the eternal life that the Spirit provides.</p><p> </p><p>Later, Jesus said, “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”</p><p> </p><p>Without hesitation, the woman replied, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw water.”</p><p> </p><p>Have we ever responded like she did after reading the Word—saying, “Lord, do unto us as Your Word says”?</p><p> </p><p>Faith is an ongoing conversation with Jesus. We do not start with faith strong enough to move mountains. Instead, when Jesus speaks, we respond.
