B: Well, that was a trick used by the Viking Erik the Red to get people to move here.

B: Don't worry. I've put together an itinerary that will show you the best this country has to offer.
A: Should we be doing a self-guided tour in such a rugged place?/B: Have you forgotten that I scout out new travel adventures for a living?
A: It's hard to believe this is the capital of Greenland! Nuuk is so small.
B: It's a stark contrast to any other capital city I've visited. With a population of around 18,000 people. It's barely a village where I'm from.
A: When you take into account the total population if of Greenland is 57,000, it's almost a third of the country.
B: Let's see if we can find a restaurant.
A: Well, we know that everything is within walking distance to our hotel./B: Very funny. Hey, there's the diner I read about in the guidebook.
A: This place looks like a cross between Norway's fjords and Antarctica's glaciers and icebergs!
B: Scoresby sound is the biggest fjord system in Greenland.//A: I never thought I'd get the chance to see something this beautiful in my life.
B: Compared to a place like the Eiffel Tower, we're among a few people in the world to see this.
A: Make sure to take a picture of me with an iceberg in the background, okay?
B: Of course! No one will believe you've been to one of the most remote places on earth without proof!
A. So, we finally get to see the green part of Greenland.
B: The southern tip is where the Vikings lived when they first got here. Their society revolved around farming and fishing.
A: I wonder if the early settlers felt like they were tricked into moving here. It isn't exactly great for farming.
B: It couldn't have been much worse than what they were used to back home./ A: Hey, look! Is that a whale out there?
B: See? It's not all bad. They probably didn't see whales very often where they came from.
A: Greenland wasn't what I expected. Still, it's definitely a diamond in the rough.
B: I agree. But I'll definitely be sending groups of adventurous travelers here.
A. We met some great locals you can team up with so people can have the authentic Greenland experience.
B: It's one of the few "new" tourist destinations in the world./ A: I think that's a really good thing.
B: And what it lacked in things like fancy hotels and restaurants, it made up for it with it's beauty.

자, 우리가 드디어 그린란드의 녹색 지역을 보게 되네.
이 초남단 지역은 바이킹이 처음에 이곳에 도착했을 때 살았던 곳이야. 그들의 사회는 농업과 어업을 중심으로 돌아갔지

그린란드는 내가 예상했던 것과는 달랐어. 그래도 확실히 흙 속의 진주 같은 곳이야
동의해.근데 난 모험을 좋아하는 여행자들은 꼭 이곳으로 보낼거야.
우리는 사람들이 진정한 그린란드를 경험할 수 있도록 협조할 수 있는 훌륭한 현지인들을 좀 만났지.
이곳은 세계에서 몇 안 되는 '새로운' 관광지 중 하나야./ 그점이 정말 좋은 것 같아.
그리고 고급 호텔이나 식당 같은 것들이 부족한 걸 아름다움으로 보상했어

J: Oh! no. Did the captain just announce he's rerouting the plane around a storm?
A: Yeah, and our connecting flight is only 30 minutes after we're scheduled to land.
J: If we do make it, it'll be by the skin of our teeth. Let's figure out where we have to go when we land.
A: I'm glad we traveled light because we might have to run./ J: Best-case scenario, our next flight is delayed by the weather.
A: I'm getting nervous! My sister will never forgive me if we miss her wedding.
J: Come on, Amanda, you need to pick up the pace if we're going to catch our connecting flight.
A: It's no use trying to catch it! The departure gate is on the other side of the airport and we only have five minutes.
J: You're probably right. We still have to catch a train to Terminal C./A: Then we should find a help desk to see what our options are.
J: We're trying to get to a very small airport. This was the only flight today./ A: We're up a creek without a paddle!
J: The next flight to Port Morrison is in two days!/  A: We might as well call Megan and tell her we won't be at her wedding.
J: There's no way we're throwing in the towel. Let's see what our options are with buses or trains.
A: Okey. I'll look up bus routes, you look for trains.
J: The closest train station to Port Morrison will only get us halfway there. It departs in two hours.
A: Well, the shortest bus route is 10 hours long and it leaves in the morning. Let's catch that train.
J: Okey, now that we're in Danbury, we still have another 200 kilometers to go. What now?
A: Since there are no rental cars and the next bus leaves in eight hours, we have to think outside the box.
J: Why don't we go into that little diner over there and talk to some locals and tell them we're in a bind?
A: It's worth a try. The worst they can say is wait for the bus./  J: But then we'll miss the wedding.
A: We'll never know unless we ask. Anyway, I'm really hungry./ J: I can't belive we made it in time for Megan's wedding!
A: Well, those people in Danbury were great. We got lucky that the butcher had a delivery to Port Morrison!
J: We were amazing at thinking on your feet when we missed the last ferry.
A: If the only way to the island was by boat, why not ask a fisherman for a ride?
J: This will make for a great story tonight at the reception./ A: I hope we can take a shower first. We smell like fish and raw meat!
