우리 아이들은 가면 갈수록
엄청나게 똑똑하게 태어 나는 반면에 더 단순해진다.
하지만 베이비부머는 그 깊이가 대단하기 때문에
밑에 세대들이 따라 올 수는 없다.

그런데 이 사람들이 자기 일을 않하고 있으니
건달로 보이는데 훌륭한 일을 하고 있다면 다르게 보인다.
지식인들도 마찬가지다 사회를 위해서 일을 할때
인류가 너희들을 보는 눈도 다르게 보인다.

그래서 이 시대에 지식인들의 역활은 뭔가?
이 세상에서 고생한 사람들과 경제를 갖춘 사람들이
열심히 노력해서 사회를 건설한 노력의 결과들이
지금 나타나고 있는 것이다.

나타난 결과가 공산과 민주로 나눠지는데,
왜 서로의 이론이 맞고 좋다고 하는지?
그리고 너희들이 잘못 본 것이 뭔지?
그러면 앞으로 서로가 어떻게 해야 하는지?
이것을 바르게 분별하고 정리해서 인류사회에 내줘야 한다.

이렇게 해서 이 두 이론이 정리가 되면
이제부터 사상분쟁이 없어지고 남북통일이 된다.
이것은 인류의 숙제가 우리 세대의 숙제로
돌아 온것이다.

<What Are the Tasks Our Generation Must Solve?>

As time goes on, our children are being born incredibly intelligent, yet at the same time, they are becoming more straightforward and simple in the way they think.

The Baby Boomer generation, however, possesses tremendous depth built through life experience. The generations that follow cannot easily reach that same depth.

Yet when these people fail to do the work they are meant to do, they may appear to be simply wasting their lives. But when they devote themselves to meaningful work, people see them completely differently.

The same is true for intellectuals.
When intellectuals use what they have learned and developed to serve society, humanity will also begin to see them differently.

Then what is the role of intellectuals in this era?

The people who endured hardship and those who built economic strength worked tirelessly to construct society. What we see in the world today is the result of all those efforts.

One of those results is a world divided between communism and democracy.

Why does each side believe its own theory is right and better?
What have we misunderstood or failed to see?
And how should the two sides move forward from here?

Our task is to discern these questions correctly, organize the answers, and present them clearly to human society.

When these two ideologies are properly understood and resolved, ideological conflict can finally come to an end, and the path toward the reunification of North and South Korea can open.

A task that belongs to humanity has now returned to us as the task of our generation.

而我们现在所看到的一切，
正是这些努力所产生的结果。

其中一个结果，
就是世界被划分为共产主义与民主主义两大体系。

为什么双方都认为自己的理论是正确的、是更好的？
我们过去究竟看错了什么？
那么今后，双方又应该如何走下去？

我们必须正确地分辨这些问题，
把它们整理清楚，
再将答案交给人类社会。

当这两种思想理论被正确地整理和理解之后，
思想与意识形态之间的纷争才能真正结束，
南北统一的道路也会随之打开。

原本属于全人类的课题，
如今已经回到了我们面前，
成为了我们这一代必须解决的课题。

Nuestros hijos nacen cada vez más inteligentes, pero, al mismo tiempo, se vuelven más simples y directos en su manera de pensar.

En cambio, la generación del baby boom posee una enorme profundidad, construida a través de sus experiencias de vida. Las generaciones posteriores difícilmente pueden alcanzar esa misma profundidad.

Sin embargo, si esta generación no hace el trabajo que le corresponde, puede parecer que simplemente está perdiendo el tiempo. Pero si realiza un trabajo valioso y significativo para la sociedad, la manera en que los demás la ven cambia por completo.

Lo mismo ocurre con los intelectuales.
Cuando utilizan sus conocimientos y capacidades para trabajar por la sociedad, también cambia la manera en que la humanidad los percibe.

Entonces, ¿cuál es el papel de los intelectuales en esta época?

Las personas que sufrieron y aquellas que construyeron la fuerza económica trabajaron incansablemente para levantar la sociedad. Lo que hoy vemos en el mundo es el resultado de todos esos esfuerzos.

Uno de esos resultados es la división del mundo entre el comunismo y la democracia.

¿Por qué cada lado considera que su propia teoría es correcta y mejor?
¿Qué hemos interpretado mal?
¿Y cómo deberían avanzar ambas partes de ahora en adelante?

Debemos discernir correctamente estas cuestiones, ordenarlas con claridad y entregar esas respuestas a la sociedad humana.

Cuando estas dos ideologías sean correctamente comprendidas y ordenadas, los conflictos ideológicos podrán desaparecer y se abrirá el camino hacia la reunificación de Corea del Norte y Corea del Sur.

Una tarea que pertenece a toda la humanidad ha regresado ahora a nosotros como una tarea que nuestra generación debe resolver.
