1. 오늘의 말씀 | 호세아 2장 16절

“여호와께서 이르시되 그 날에 네가 나를 내 남편이라 일컫고 다시는 내 바알이라 일컫지 아니하리라”

  하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성이 하나님을 다시 사랑의 대상으로 바라보기를 원하셨습니다. 하나님은 단지 명령을 내리시는 주권자이실 뿐 아니라, 자기 백성을 끝까지 사랑하시고 회복시키시는 언약의 하나님이십니다. 호세아 2장 16절은 하나님과 이스라엘의 관계가 두려움과 의무를 넘어 사랑과 친밀함으로 회복될 것을 보여 줍니다. Bible.com

2. 오늘의 묵상 | 오스왈드 챔버스의 묵상글

   하나님께 푹 빠져드는 시간이 무가치하게 느껴지더라도, 하나님께 뿌리를 내리고 기초를 다지는 값진 시간임을 기억하십시오.
  우리는 때때로 하나님과 함께하는 시간이 아무런 열매도 맺지 못하는 것처럼 느낄 때가 있습니다. 기도해도 눈에 보이는 응답이 없고, 말씀을 묵상해도 당장 달라지는 것이 없으며, 조용히 하나님 앞에 머물러 있어도 세상에서 이루어지는 일은 별로 없는 것처럼 보입니다. 그러다 보면 하나님과 함께하는 시간보다 눈에 보이는 성과를 만들어 내는 일이 더 중요하게 느껴지기도 합니다.
   그러나 나무가 열매를 맺기 전에 먼저 땅속 깊이 뿌리를 내리듯이, 우리의 신앙에도 반드시 기초를 다지는 시간이 필요합니다. 뿌리는 눈에 보이지 않지만 나무를 지탱하고, 보이지 않는 곳에서 흡수한 양분은 마침내 풍성한 열매로 나타납니다. 하나님과 깊이 교제하는 시간도 이와 같습니다. 사람들에게 드러나지 않고 당장 성과가 나타나지 않더라도, 그 시간은 우리의 믿음을 깊게 하고 영혼을 든든하게 세워 줍니다.
예수님께서는 요한복음 18장 36절에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다.
“예수께서 대답하시되 내 나라는 이 세상에 속한 것이 아니니라 만일 내 나라가 이 세상에 속한 것이었더라면 내 종들이 싸워 나로 유대인들에게 넘겨지지 않게 하였으리라 이제 내 나라는 여기에 속한 것이 아니니라.”
   예수님의 나라는 세상의 가치와 방식으로 평가할 수 없습니다. 세상은 눈에 보이는 결과와 업적을 중요하게 여기지만, 하나님께서는 우리의 중심과 믿음의 뿌리를 중요하게 여기십니다. 그러므로 하나님과 함께하는 시간을 무가치하게 생각해서는 안 됩니다. 하나님 앞에 머물며 그분의 말씀을 듣고, 그분의 뜻을 배우며, 그분을 더욱 사랑하는 과정 자체가 신앙의 중요한 기초입니다.
   호세아 2장 16절에서 하나님께서는 자기 백성과의 관계를 사랑의 관계로 회복하시겠다고 약속하십니다. 하나님께서 원하시는 것은 우리가 단순히 종교적인 의무를 수행하는 사람이 되는 것이 아닙니다. 하나님을 사랑하고, 그분을 신뢰하며, 그분과 친밀하게 동행하는 사람이 되는 것입니다.
그러므로 오늘도 눈에 보이는 열매만을 바라보며 조급해하지 마십시오. 하나님과 함께하는 시간이 때로는 평범하고 아무런 변화가 없는 것처럼 느껴지더라도, 그 시간을 통해 우리의 믿음은 더욱 깊어지고 단단해집니다.
하나님과 함께하는 시간은 결코 낭비가 아닙니다. 그것은 하나님께 뿌리를 내리고, 그분의 뜻 안에서 살아갈 기초를 다지는 은혜의 시간입니다.

3. 오늘의 결단
  나는 지금 눈에 보이는 성과를 얻기 위해 분주하게 살아가고 있습니까? 아니면 하나님과 함께하는 시간을 통해 내 영혼의 뿌리를 깊이 내리고 있습니까?
   오늘 하루, 결과를 얻기 위한 조급함을 내려놓고 하나님 앞에 조용히 머무는 시간을 가져 보십시오. 말씀을 읽고 기도하며 하나님을 더욱 사랑하는 그 시간이 앞으로의 삶을 지탱하는 믿음의 기초가 될 것입니다.

4. 오늘의 기도
   사랑의 하나님 아버지, 눈에 보이는 결과가 없다는 이유로 하나님과 함께하는 시간을 소홀히 여기지 않게 하옵소서. 세상의 기준과 성과에 마음을 빼앗기지 않고, 주님 앞에 머물며 믿음의 뿌리를 깊이 내리게 하옵소서. 하나님을 두려움과 의무로만 섬기지 않고, 나를 사랑하시는 주님과 친밀하게 동행하며 그 사랑 안에서 살아가게 하옵소서. 오늘도 주님과 함께하는 시간을 가장 귀하게 여기며, 주님의 뜻 안에서 믿음의 열매를 맺게 하옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

  “In that day,” declares the LORD, “you will call me ‘my husband’; you will no longer call me ‘my master.’” 
  God desired to restore His relationship with Israel to one of love and intimacy. He was not merely their sovereign Lord, giving commands, but the covenant God who loved His people and longed to restore them. This verse points to a relationship transformed from one characterized by obligation and distance into one marked by love and closeness.

   Remember that even when the time you spend absorbed in God seems worthless, it is precious time spent putting down roots in Him and laying a firm foundation.
   There are times when we feel that spending time with God produces no visible results. We pray, yet see no immediate answers. We meditate on His Word, yet nothing seems to change. We sit quietly in His presence, but the circumstances around us remain the same. In such moments, we may begin to believe that accomplishing visible tasks is more important than spending time with God.
   Yet a tree must first send its roots deep into the soil before it can bear fruit. In the same way, our faith needs time to establish deep and firm foundations. Roots may be hidden from sight, but they sustain the tree. The nourishment absorbed beneath the surface eventually produces abundant fruit. Our time alone with God works in much the same way. Even when no one sees it and no immediate results appear, that time deepens our faith and strengthens our souls.
   Jesus said in John 18:36:
  “Jesus said, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.’”
   The kingdom of Jesus cannot be eval‎uated by the standards and methods of this world. The world emphasizes visible results, achievements, and outward success, but God looks at the heart and the roots of our faith. Therefore, we must never consider our time with God a waste. Remaining in His presence, listening to His Word, learning His will, and growing in love for Him are essential foundations of our spiritual lives.
   In Hosea 2:16, God promises to restore His relationship with His people to one of love. God does not desire us merely to fulfill religious duties. He wants us to love Him, trust Him, and walk closely with Him.
   Therefore, do not become impatient because you cannot see immediate fruit. Even when your time with God feels ordinary or unproductive, He is deepening your faith and making your spiritual foundation stronger.
   Time spent with God is never wasted. It is a precious season of grace in which we put down deep roots in Him and establish a firm foundation for a life lived according to His will.

3. 오늘의 결단(영어버전) Today's Commitment
    Am I living in constant busyness, seeking visible results? Or am I allowing my soul to put down deep roots through the time I spend with God?
  Today, set aside your impatience for immediate results and spend some quiet time in God's presence. Read His Word, pray, and grow in your love for Him. That time will become a foundation of faith that sustains you throughout your life.

   Loving Heavenly Father, forgive me for neglecting my time with You simply because I cannot see immediate results. Keep my heart from being captivated by the world's standards and achievements. Help me remain in Your presence and put down deep roots of faith in You. May I serve You not merely out of fear or obligation, but walk closely with You as the God who loves me. Teach me to treasure every moment spent with You and to bear the fruit of faith according to Your will. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
