Life without Jesus is like being in a stormy sea—frightened and discouraged. But He does not leave us alone. He tells us, “It is I; do not be afraid.” So let us not be afraid. We must choose not to fear.
Deep inside, fear may still exist, but we must resolve in our hearts not to be overcome by it. If we are aware and realistic about life, we will often face fear, anxiety, and worry. This is what leads people to sin and evil.
Jesus was crucified, died, rose again, and gave us the Holy Spirit—God’s assurance that He is with us. So let us receive Jesus—call upon His name. Let us be in the same boat with Him. Invite Jesus into the boat of our lives, and through Him, our lives will be steady, reaching the destination and purpose God has for us.
