Eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus means believing in His words—words that include His death and resurrection.
Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot receive Jesus’ words as true food or true drink. It is only with the help of the Holy Spirit that we can take in His words.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit means that when the Spirit fills us, these words become sweet and delightful.
Two thousand years ago, the Jews could not accept these words and questioned them, but let us receive them as they are and, according to them, become one with Jesus in Christ and within us, as the holy people of God.
