열왕기상4장 말씀입니다.

1. 이렇게 솔로몬 왕이 온 이스라엘을 다스릴 왕이 되니라.

So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2. 그에게 있던 통치자들이 이러하니라. 사독의 아들 아사랴는 제사장이요,

And these [were] the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest, 

3. 시사의 아들 엘리호렙과 아히야는 서기관이요, 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 기록관이요,

Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder. 

4. 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 군대를 다스리는 자요, 사독과 아비아달은 제사장이요,

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was] over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar [were] the priests:

5. 나단의 아들 아사랴는 관리들을 다스리는 자요, 나단의 아들 사붓은 관리장이며 또 왕의 친구요,

And Azariah the son of Nathan [was] over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan [was] principal officer, [and] the kings friend:

6. 아히살은 집안을 다스리는 자요, 압다의 아들 아도니람은 공세를 맡은 자더라.

And Ahishar [was] over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda [was] over the tribute. 

7. 솔로몬이 또 온 이스라엘을 다스릴 열두 관리를 두매 이들이 왕과 왕의 집안을 위해 음식물을 예비하되 각 사람이

    일 년 중 자기가 맡은 달에 양식을 예비하였으니

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

8. 그들의 이름은 이러하니라. 에브라임 산에는 훌의 아들이요,

And these [are] their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim: 

9. 마가스와 사알빔과 벧세메스와 엘론벧하난에는 데겔의 아들이요,

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan: 

10. 아룹봇에는 헤셋의 아들이니 소고와 헤벨 온 땅이 그에게 속하였으며

The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him [pertained] Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: 

11. 도르의 온 지역에는 아비나답의 아들이니 그는 솔로몬의 딸 다밧을 아내로 얻었으며

The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife: 

12. 아힐룻의 아들 바아나니 다아낙과 므깃도와 예스르엘 아래 사르다나 옆의 온 벧스안 곧 벧스안에서부터

      아벨므홀라까지와 심지어 욕느암 너머에 있는 곳까지 그에게 속하였으며

Baana the son of Ahilud; [to him pertained] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, [even] unto [the place that is] beyond Jokneam:

13. 라못길르앗에는 게벨의 아들이니 길르앗에 있는 므낫세의 아들 야일의 모든 고을이 그에게 속하였고 또 바산에

      있는 아르곱 지역 곧 성벽과 놋 빗장이 있는 큰 도시 육십 개가 그에게 속하였으며

The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him [pertained] the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; to him [also pertained] the region of Argob, which [is] in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars: 

14. 잇도의 아들 아히나답이 마하나임을 소유하였고

Ahinadab the son of Iddo [had] Mahanaim: 

15. 납달리에는 아히마아스니 그는 또한 솔로몬의 딸 바스맛을 아내로 취하였으며

Ahimaaz [was] in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

16. 아셀과 알롯에는 후새의 아들 바아나요,

Baanah the son of Hushai [was] in Asher and in Aloth:

17. 잇사갈에는 바루아의 아들 여호사밧이요,

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

18. 베냐민에는 엘라의 아들 시므이요,

Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

19. 아모리 족속의 왕 시혼과 바산 왕 옥의 지방이던 길르앗 지방에는 우리의 아들 게벨이니 그 땅에서는 오직 그만

      관리가 되었더라.

Geber the son of Uri [was] in the country of Gilead, [in] the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and [he was] the only officer which [was] in the land.

20. 유다와 이스라엘이 바닷가의 모래같이 수가 많게 되었으며 먹고 마시며 즐거워하였고

Judah and Israel [were] many, as the sand which [is] by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

21. 솔로몬이 강에서부터 블레셋 사람들 땅에 이르기까지와 이집트 경계에 이르기까지의 모든 왕국을 통치하였으므로

      그들이 예물을 가져 와서 솔로몬의 평생 동안 그를 섬겼더라.

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22. 솔로몬의 하루 식량은 고운 밀가루 삼십 고르와 굵은 가루 육십 고르와

And Solomons provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal, 

23.살진 소 열 마리와 초장의 소 스무 마리와 양 백 마리며 그 외에 수사슴과 노루와 다마사슴과 살진 날짐승이 있더라.

Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

24. 그가 딥사에서부터 앗사에 이르기까지 강 이편 지역과 강 이편의 모든 왕을 지배하였으므로 그의 사방 모든 지역에

      평화가 있었으니

For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25. 솔로몬의 평생 동안 단에서부터 브엘세바에 이르기까지 유다와 이스라엘이 곧 각 사람이 자기 포도나무와 무화과

      나무 밑에서 안전히 거하였더라.

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. 

26. 솔로몬의 병거를 위해 말 외양간 사만 개가 그에게 있었으며 기병 만 이천 명이 있었고

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27. 그 관리들은 각각 자기가 맡은 달에 솔로몬 왕과 왕의 상에 이른 모든 자를 위해 양식을 예비하여 부족함이 없게

      하였으며

And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomons table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28. 또 그들이 각각 자기 책무에 따라 말과 단봉낙타에게 먹일 보리와 짚을 관리들이 있던 곳으로 가져왔더라.

Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where [the officers] were, every man according to his charge. 

29. [하나님]께서 솔로몬에게 바닷가의 모래 같이 지혜와 명철을 매우 많이 주시고 또 넓은 마음을 주시매

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that [is] on the sea shore.

30. 솔로몬의 지혜가 동쪽 지방 모든 자손의 지혜와 이집트의 모든 지혜보다 뛰어났더라.

And Solomons wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31. 그가 모든 사람보다 지혜로워서 에스라 사람 에단과 마홀의 아들들인 헤만과 갈골과 다르다보다 지혜로웠으므로

      그의 명성이 사방 모든 민족들 가운데 있었더라.

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

32. 그가 삼천 개의 잠언을 말하고 천 다섯 편의 노래를 지었으며

And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33. 그가 또 나무에 관하여 말하되 레바논에 있는 백향목으로부터 담에서 솟아나는 우슬초에 이르기까지 하고 그가 또

      짐승과 날짐승과 기어 다니는 것과 물고기에 관하여 말하였으므로

And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that [is] in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34. 모든 사람들 중에서 솔로몬의 지혜를 들으려고 왔으며 그의 지혜에 관하여 들은 땅의 모든 왕들로부터 왔더라.

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
