善(선)은 사랑의 흐름에 맡겨 움직이는 것이며 어짐의 어린벼 이다.
 Goodness (善,선- Seon) means moving in harmony with the flow of love;
  it is the young rice plant(sprout) of benevolence(仁,인).
 
사랑을 심음으로서 일어나는 마음이 반드시 善(선)하며 어짐에서 배움으로서
행하는 일은 반드시 착하다.
  The mind that arises from planting love is bound to be good(善,선),
  and the deeds performed by learning from benevolence are bound to be virtuous.

善은 愛之派流也며 仁之童穉也니 (선은 애지파류야며 인지동치야니)
 Goodness(善,선) is the outgoing stream of love and the young sprout(childhood)
 benevolence(仁,인).
  

種於愛故로 發心이 必善하며 (종어애고로 발심이 필선하며)
  Because it is planted in love, the mind that arises is bound to be good,


學於仁故로 行事必善이니라. (학어인고로 행사필선이니라.)
  and because it is learned from benevolence,
  the actions performed are bound to be virtuous.

[Commentary, 풀이]

사랑이 나타나는 모습이 善(선)이다.
  Goodness(善,선 - Seon) is the manifestation of love.

善(선)이 원인이 될때  결과는 福(복)이 된다.
  When goodness becomes the cause,
  the reaulting effect becomes blessing(福,복 -Bok).

다시말하면 福(복)은 용서하는 만큼만 받는 것이며 남을 반드시 용서하는 것이 사랑이다.
  In other words, biessings are received only to the extent that one forgives,
  and forgiving others without exception is the true essence of love.

  ※ Key Notes.
    ● 善(선) : Goodness / Good / Virtue(도덕적 선함과 바름을 뜻합니다.)
    ● 사랑의 흐름에 맡겨 움직이는 것 : Moving in harmory with the flow of love
                (인위적인 도덕률이 아니라, 내면에서 자연스럽게 흘러나오는 사랑에 따라 
                  행하는 것임을 의미합니다.)
    ● 어짐의 어린벼(어린 벼) : The young rice plant(sprout) of benevolence
                 [어짊(仁,인)이라는 커다란 근본 덕목에서 싹터 나와 자라나는 형태가 바로
                   善(선)이라는 은유적 표현입니다.] 
    ● 사랑을 심음으로서... 어짐에서 배움으로서 : Planting love... leatning from benevolence
                 (사랑과 어짊이 선한 마음과 착한 행동의 근본 뿌리임을 나타냅니다.) 
    ● 派流(파류) : Outgoing stream / Tributary flow(줄기에서 갈라져 나와 흘러가는 물줄기를 뜻하며,
                  사랑이라는 근본 샘물에서 흘러나오는 구체적인 표현이 자로 '선'임을 비유합니다.)
    ● 童穉(동치) : Yoyng sprout / Childhood[아이 동, 어릴 치. 어짊(仁,인)이라는 완성된 가치의
                   어린 시절, 즉 초기의 싹을 의미합니다.)
    ● 種於愛(종어애) : Planted in love(씨앗을 사랑에 심음.)
    ● 學於仁(학어인) : Learned grom benevolence(어짊에서 배우고 익힘.)
    ● 發心(발심) : The mind that arises / Awakening of the heart(마음을 일으킴.)
       行事(행사) : Actions performed / Deeds carried out(일을 행함.)
    ● 사랑이 나타나는 모습이 善(선)이다 : The manifestation of love is goodness
             (사랑이라는 내면의 가치가 외면에 행동과 태도로 실현된 상태가 '선'이라는 의미입니다.)
    ● 원인(Cause)과 결과(Effect) : 선을 행하는 것이 씨앗(원인)이 되어, 복이라는 열매(결과)로
             돌아온다는 인과법칙을 보여줍니다.
    ● 용서하는 만큼만 받는 것 : Receiving blessings only to the extent that one forgives
            (복을 누리기 위해서는 타인을 용서하고 품어주는 너그러움이 필수적이라는 통찰입니다.)
