The Judgement of the Rabbit(토끼의 재판)

Cast : 호랑이, 선비, 토끼, 황소, 곰, 사슴
Place : 깊은 산 속

호랑이의 힘찬 울음소리와 함께 호랑이 등장, 음악소리에 맞춰 신나게 춤을 추다가 무대 한구석에 설치된 그물에 걸린다.

호랑이 : Eeek! Help! Help me!

멀리서 선비의 노래소리 점점 가까이 들려온다.

호랑이 : Is there anybody? Help me!
선비 : (두리번거리며) Uh, What sound is it?
호랑이 : Here! Here!
선비 : Oh, no! There is a tiger.
호랑이 : Please, help me! If you save me, I'll give you a reward.
선비 : No. If I save you, you'll kill and eat me.
호랑이 : No, no way. I'll never do that. Please help me. I'm not going to hurt you.
선비 : (잠깐 망설이다가) Okay, I'll take out of you from the net.

선비는 한숨을 돌리며 돌아갈 차비를 하고 호랑이는 선비의 모습을 입맛다시며 바라본다.

선비 : (자랑스러운 듯) Okay! I saved you.
호랑이 : Uh-hung!
선비 : What are you doing? No!
호랑이 : Uh-hung! Uh-hung! I'm going to eat you.
선비 : You shouldn't do that. I saved you!
호랑이 : Did you save me? I don't care. I'm very hungry right now.
선비 : You told me a lie. Let's judge if who is right.
호랑이 : Judge? Okay, that sounds great.
황소 : Um moo∼ I'm tired.
호랑이 : Oh! There's a cow. Let's ask him if who is right.
선비 : Okay.
호랑이 : Hey! Cow!
황소 : What?
호랑이 : (이야기하는 시늉을 한다.) Do you think who's right?
황소 : Really? Eat him right now.
선비 : What? No way!
황소 : Look at me! I work hard for you, people every day. But you don't thank us for it. People eat cows and make bags with our skin.
호랑이 : Uh-hung!
선비 : Wait a minute. It's unfair. Let's ask another one.
호랑이 : If you want, that's no problem.
(낮잠을 자고 있는 곰 발견)
호랑이 : (곰을 툭툭 건드리며 큰 소리로) Hey, bear!
곰 : Who's there? What's the matter?
선비 : Listen to me. (이러쿵 저러쿵) Who do you think is right?
곰 : I think the tiger is right.
선비 : What? Why?
곰 : People don't thank for anything.
People hunt bear and eat it for their health.
호랑이 : (잡아먹을 듯이) Uh-hung! Uh-hung!
선비 : Wait, wait! Please one more time, just one more.
호랑이 : Again? (잠시 생각하다가) Okay, but this is the last time.

선비 다급히 찾으나 아무도 없다.

호랑이 : Uh-hung!
선비 : Oh, no! Wait!
호랑이 : There's nobody. I'm so hungry. I can't wait any more.
이 때, 사슴 한 마리가 뛰어 나온다.
선비 : Hey, deer!
사슴 : What?
호랑이 : (먼저 나서며 자초지종을 이야기한다.) Am I right?
사슴 : Sure.
선비 : Oh, dear. Why?
사슴 : People cut my horns and eat them for their health. I hate people.(사슴 퇴장)
호랑이 : Uh-hung! Uh-hung!
선비 : (절망스런 목소리로) Please just one more, one more.
호랑이 : What? You said that was the last time.
선비 : Please one more time, only one more. I'll promise.
호랑이 : Okay. I'm very hungry then you should find one.

급박한 음악, 선비 이리저리 당황하며 찾는다. 멀리서 뛰어오는 토끼 발견, 반가와 뛰어간다.

선비 : Hey, rabbit.
토끼 : What's the matter?
선비 : Listen and help me. (이러쿵 저러쿵) Who's right?
토끼 : Well, I don't understand. Tiger, I want to hear it from you again.
호랑이 : Uh-hung! I was trapped in the net....
토끼 : No, no. Do as what you said.
호랑이 : Please, I'm starving.
토끼 : So, hurry up!
호랑이 : Three days ago, while I was walking and dancing I was trapped in this net. (그물 속으로 끙끙거리며 들어간다)
That's all. Do you understand?
토끼 : Ah, I see. (선비에게) Hey! Go home!
(호랑이를 보며) He saved you. But you didn't thank him for it. Bad tiger, You're a liar.
선비 : Thank you very much, rabbit.
(선비, 토끼 퇴장)
호랑이 : Oh, no! I was wrong. Please help me!
