Holy Spirit departed from Saul

1 Samuel 16:14

Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him.

1.Here in this verse, the spirit of the depart does not mean to lose Salvation given by God but it means that the holy spirit given was  for  the work of God.  When the holy spirit came upon to Saul he started to work the mission of God. While the holy spirit remain, It was able to work from the power of God for the will of God. In Old time, the holy spirit was given only to those who are chosen by God for God's work, and not to all belivers as this time that whoever believe in Jesus recieves the Holy Spirit.
