중학생 미국 유학 추천서를 쓰다

열심히 학교를 다니던 학생 한 명이 미국으로 유학을 간답니다. 방학 동안에 가벼운 마음으로 경험을 쌓으려고 나간 것이 거기에 푹 빠져서 미국에서 학교를 다니고 싶다고 전해온 모양입니다. 그리하여 담임 선생님의 부탁으로 제가 추천서를 쓰게 되었는데, 중학생 유학 추천서를 써본 적이 있어야지요...구글 검색을 통해 여러 샘플을 참고해 가며 원어민 선생님한테까지 교정을 받아 결국 완성하긴 했습니다. ^^;; 그 학생은 성적이 아주 우수한 편은 아니었지만 영어도 곧 잘하고, 미국에서 야구를 전문적으로 배우고 싶어한다기에 그와 관련된 장점을 부각하여 글을 썼습니다. Dear Admissions Committee, I have had the pleasure of teaching Minsu Mathematics in his 7th grade homeroom and classroom in ○○ Middle School. From the first day of class, Minsu impressed me with his ability to articulate his thoughts and opinions. His curiosity for life, English, and his passion for sports and helping others are inspiring. Throughout this semester, Minsu was an active participant in our class discussions, and he always supported his peers. His caring nature and personality allow him to work well with others in a team setting, as he always respects others’ opinions, even when they differ from his own. When we have a problem-solving activity in my math class, he is always willing to help his group members who are struggling. Minsu demonstrates consideration and care for others, and he always tries to give creative ideas on class affairs. Minsu is also well versed in English skills. I had a chance to observe his English class on an open school day. In the class, students had to discuss the ways they can help children in danger. Minsu spoke clearly and eloquently about his ideas and responded to questions in a thoughtful way. Outside of the classroom, Minsu is not hesitant to speak English to his English teachers and foreigners in the neighborhood. This is a rare and impressive case amongst his peers. He is also an excellent soccer player whom his classmates admire. Though he has a small physique, he tries to overcome his physical shortcomings with intense practice. He likes to go out and play soccer, even during the short lunch break. When our school held sports day to strengthen class solidarity, he played a key role in winning the soccer tournament. He organized the team spontaneously and helped make his classmates aware of the rules. I am certain Minsu is going to continue to do great and creative things in the future. I highly recommend him for admission to your school, Cedar Park Christian Schools. He is talented, caring, intuitive, dedicated, and focused in his pursuits. Minsu consistently seeks out better solutions and more creative ideas so he can improve his problem-solving and communicative skills.
