Summary:
The Pharisees question the formerly blind man again, insisting that Jesus is a sinner. He responds that he only knows he was blind but now can see. They press him for details, but he refuses to repeat himself and sarcastically asks if they want to be Jesus' disciples. The Pharisees mock him, claiming loyalty to Moses while rejecting Jesus. The man argues that Jesus must be from God since He performed an unprecedented miracle. Angered, the Pharisees insult him and expel him from the synagogue.
Teaching:
Once blind man answered, ““Well, here is the amazing thing: that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes! We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if someone is God-fearing and does His will, He listens to him. Since the beginning of time, it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, He could do nothing.”
The blind man's answer is the correct one. The learned men twist even Jesus' words to trap Him. The same happens today. If you look closely at those who loudly claim to serve the church and believe in Jesus, their words are tangled. Instead of seeing the facts as they are, they distort them.
For believers, it is important to see what has happened and, through such events, come to truly recognize who Jesus is and sincerely confess Him.
We must not be entangled in the logic, laws, customs, traditions, and morals that people impose. Sometimes, in following such things, we end up losing sight of the Word.
We need to be able to see the things that have happened to us and the things that will happen in the future. That is God's providence.
