The demonstration of ignorance especially by the so called "the intellectuals" is ubiquitous not just in Korea but also in the US.
Let me add one more to the list of the embarrassments.
This was so outrageous that the people in the major media were shocked to see it with their own eyes.
One of the notable Korean daily newspaper publications being circulated in huge numbers here in the US for Korean readers recently published an extra news about the incident with BK Kim, the pitcher of Boston RedSox, giving a middle finger to the booing home fans.
In treating this shocking news, the publisher used the four letter f-word as a headline on the front page. Using the eye-catching big bold letters, it spelled out the word so daringly.
Relating to this embarrassing demonstration of ignorance, the responsible publication was later notified of this and was warned that the papers won't be distributed by mail delivery.
Often enough, I see that some foul words are indistinctively used both in prints and verbal usage without expecting the consequences.
I'd say the incident with B k Kim is of the same concept or origination.
Let's be sellective about the correct usage of the language.
첫댓글Mathew, that is absolutely unbelievable. Isn’t there some kind of regulation against obscenity in mass media and publications? I hope they were seriously fined. As far as BK goes, he did it again to A’s fans. Some people never learn.
