There was an interesting topic in my English speaking class a few days ago.
The topic of the class was "Do you feel regretful for your past life?
All of us came to express our regretful things over our vanished youth as we were imperfect human beings. To be sure, there were also some kinds of regretful things through my life.
I thought about two big regrets from my past life.
Firstly, since my adolescence period I had not had a consciousness of what I needed to plan for my future life.
In this case, my regret was not only defined for a study of my school days.
My regret was that If I didn't like studying at that time,I should have tried to do other meaningful things to help my stage better off.
If I had been aware of planning my life from that time on, would my life have been changed into a better situation now^^?
Secondly, there was another regret for raising up my children.
At that stage, I didnt know that being with my children to itself was precious moments in my old age.
I was often unhappy with my life in those days because my daily routine seemed to be kept in the endless of domestic chores.
Sometimes it was hard for me to control my anger at them who faced their adolesnce.
Their behaviours changed into strange way suddenly, but my main scolding focused on their neglect of study without making an attempt to understand teenage boy's mind set.
I even judged my children's friends by their appearance and school grade.
It appears that I had a quite narrow view to raise up my children because good school grade doesn't guarantee their good nature and successful life in the future.
I should have understood and cheered them up more..I didn't realize enough about the strong power of praise and encouragement.
Now I truely regret that ... I must have been tolerant of teenager's step even some mischievous actings that were not big problems any more for me at this distance of time.
I was so immature and strict mom for them.
Whenever I looked back on my inflexible attitude to them before, I felt so sorry for myself and them.
If I had been a more wise mom. I would have given them a great store of memories of their growth period.
In my mid- forties, I could have just caught a small piece of clue to manage the happy life in a flexible way. It seemed too late but since then, I have made an effort in order not to regret my past life again when I die.
I wish I could die smiling to remember of my pleasant life without big regrets like now.

Hi Carah! Everybody might have lost a way in our life sometimes.I think our members in this English class are more sincere to manage better life than others. You seem to have somethings in common with me^^.Is that an artistic nature^^?
Yes, you can say that again. I think both of you have a lot in common.
