새 노래로 여호와께 노래하라

Sing to the LORD a new song

온 땅이여 여호와께 노래할지어다

sing to the LORD, all the earth.

여호와께 노래하여 그 이름을 송축하며

Sing to the LORD, praise his name

그 구원을 날마다 선파 할지어다

proclaim his salvation day after day.

그 영광을 열방 중에,그 기이한 행적을 만민 중에 선포할지어다

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

만방의 모든 신은 헛 것이요 여호와께서는

하늘을 지으셨음이로다

For all the gods of the nations are idols,

but the LORD made the heavens.

존귀와 위엄이 그 앞에 있으며

Splendor and majesty are before him

능력과 아름다음이 그 성소에 있도다

strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness

밭과 그 가운데 모든 것은 즐거워할지로다

let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them.

(다같이) 그리할 때에 삼림의 나무들이 여호와 앞에서 즐거이 노래하리라.

Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy;

그 두루마기를 빠는 자들은 복이 있으니 이는 저희가 생명나무에 나아가며 문들을 통하여 성에 들어갈 권세를 얻으려 함이로다. 요한계시록 22:14

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14

우리 앞의 열린 문 An open Door in front of us

주께서는 스스로를 가리켜 “나는 양의 문이라.” 칭하셨습니다. 양들은 문을 통하여 다음 세계로 나아갑니다. 그 다음 세계는 어디일까요? 우리는 주님의 문을 통하여 하나님 아버지께 나아갑니다. 또한 위 본문에서는 문들이라고 표현하고 있습니다. 물론 주님의 역할을 대신할 어떤 문도 존재하지 않음을 잘 압니다.

예수께서 가라사대 내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라 요한복음 14:6

우리는 이 신앙의 여정에서 많은 사람들을 만납니다. 그들은 우리를 진리로 인도하고 구원에 대한 확신을 갖게 하고 복음의 기쁨을 경험할 수 있게 합니다. 그들은 모두 우리에게 하나의 문으로 역할을 합니다. 이는 성경을 기록하고 성경에 등장하는 여러 선진들일 수도 있습니다. 그들도 어떤 의미에서 우리에게 하나의 문들로서 역할을 하였다고 할 수 있습니다.

문은 한 공간으로부터 다음 공간으로 우리를 인도합니다. 또 문은 막힘과 열림의 기능을 갖고 있습니다. 요한계시록에는 “열린 문”이라는 표현도 있습니다. “ 볼찌어다 내가 네 앞에 열린 문을 두었으되 능히 닫을 사람이 없으리라.” 요한계시록 3:8 이것은 하나님의 주권과 은혜를 담고 있습니다. 이 문에 우리에게 열려 있으면 이는 전적 하나님의 주권적 은혜를 받은 것으로 감사할 것이고 아직 열리지 않았으면 우리는 하나님께 기도할 따름입니다.

반면, 우리가 주목하고 주의할 것은 문을 닫고 남도 들어가지 못하게 하고 자신도 들어가지 않는 것입니다.

화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 너희는 천국 문을 사람들 앞에서 닫고 너희도 들어가지 않고 들어가려 하는 자도 들어가지 못하게 하는도다 마태복음 23:13

우리는 신앙의 여정에서 여러 사람들을 만납니다. 그리고 서로 도움을 주고받습니다. 이는 성경에 등장하는 인문들에게 대해서 마찬가지입니다. 위에서 언급하였듯이 이는 모두 문으로 역할을 하는 것입니다. 그리고 그 문은 예수 그리스도에게로 인도하고 예수 그리스도는 우리의 마음을 하나님 아버지에게로 이끌어 주십니다.

많은 분들이 사도 바울을 존경합니다. 그의 서신들을 통해 기독교 교리의 기초를 견고히 합니다. 그리고 이를 두고 ‘바울 신학’이라고 칭하기를 주저하지 않습니다. 어쩌면 생각하기를 바울의 신학을 다 알기에도 우리의 일생이 모자라다 할 수도 있을 것입니다. 그러나 이는 잘 분별해야 할 오류일 수 있습니다. 어떤 이를 존경하고 그를 통해 많은 도움을 받는 것은 당연한 일입니다. 하지만 그 어떤 누구라도 성경은 그를 하나의 문이라고 정의하고 있습니다. 우리는 그 문을 통과하여 예수 그리스도에게로 나아가야 합니다. 그 문이 부각되고 그 문에 머물러 있어서는 안 됩니다. 그것이 그 문의 의도는 아니었다 할지라도 결과적으로 그리 되었다면 그것은 그 문 된 이를 욕보이는 일이 됩니다. 만일 누구라도 바울에 대해 그리 생각한다면 야고보서는 아예 기록되지도 말았어야 할 것입니다.

그런데 하물며 스스로 교회의 주인의 자리에 앉아 자기를 부인하기는커녕 모든 것을 자신 위주로 행하면서 다른 사람들을 실족하게 한다면 그런 행위와 마음은 고라에게 행해진 형벌을 받아야 마땅할 것입니다. 우리에게 합당한 자세와 태도는 속으로는 이기주의를 감추고 겉으로 행하는 친절이 아니라 진정 남을 나보다 낫게 여기는 겸손과 하나님에 대한 두려움일 것입니다. 하나님은 본질상 스스로 숨어계시는 분입니다.

The Lord referred to himself as "I am the door of the sheep." Sheep move on through the door to the next world. Where is the next world? We move on to our Father God through the door of the Lord. Also, the gates are expressed as plural in the text above. Of course, I know well that there is no other door to replace the Lord.

Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." John 14:6

We meet many people on this journey of faith. They lead us to the truth, give us confidence in salvation, and allow us to experience the joy of the gospel. They all serve as a door for us. These could be the many ancestors that record the Bible and appear in it. They also served as a door for us in a sense.

Doors lead us from one space to the next. Doors also have the function of blocking and opening. There is also an expression‎ "open door" in the Book of Revelation. "I have put before you an open door which no one can shut" Revelation 3:8 This contains God's sovereignty and grace. If it is open to us, it will be grateful that it has received the full sovereign grace of God, and if it has not yet been opened, we can only pray to God.

On the other hand, what we pay attention to and be cautious to is to close the door and not allow others to enter, and not himself.

But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Matthew 23:13

We meet many people on our journey of faith. And we exchange help with each other. The same is true of the ancestors in the Bible. As mentioned above, these all serve as doors. And the doors lead to Jesus Christ, who leads our hearts to God our Father.

Many people respect Apostle Paul. His letters strengthens the foundation of Christian doctrine. And I don't hesitate to call it Paul theology. Even if we know all of Paul's theology, we may be short of our lifetime. However, this may be an error that must be carefully distinguished. It is only natural to respect someone and get a lot of help through him. But the Bible defines him as a door for anyone. We must go through that door and go to Jesus Christ. The door should not be highlighted and remain at that door. Even if it wasn't the intention of the door, if it was painted as a result, it would be a disgrace to the door. If anyone thought about Paul, the book of James should not have been recorded at all.

However, if you sit in the owner's seat of the church and do everything about yourself rather than deny yourself, and make others fall short, such actions and minds will deserve punishment against Korah. The manner and attitude that are appropriate for us will not be kindness that hides selfishness inside and acts outward, but rather humility and fear of God that truly considers others better than me. God is essentially the One who hides Himself.
