<p><span data-ke-size="size18">Summary:</span></p><p><span data-ke-size="size18">Jesus speaks of His imminent glorification through His death and resurrection, which also glorifies God. He tells His disciples He will soon leave, and they cannot follow yet. He gives them a new commandment: to love one another as He has loved them. This love will be the defining mark of His true disciples.</span></p><p> </p><p><span data-ke-size="size18">Teaching:</span></p><p><span data-ke-size="size18">Doing God's work is what brings glory to God. It is not only the good results of a task that glorify God, but the very act of doing God's work - following the calling and the economy (plan) of God - that itself brings glory to Him.<br>Let us not forget that the very work Jesus did glorified God. Simply living our lives doing God's work brings glory to Him. That is why we are called to live out God's story.</span></p><p> </p><p><span data-ke-size="size18">“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”</span></p><p> </p><p><span data-ke-size="size18">The reason we fail keep the Word after reading and hearing the Word is because we do not truly love God, and in that lack of love for God, we fail to love our neighbor.  The spring or root of faith is love.</span></p><p> </p><p><span data-ke-size="size18">We must love one another and become true disciples of Jesus.</span></p><p> </p><p><i>Excerpt from the sermon by Pastor Lee, Apr 17, 2025.</i></p><p><i>John 13:31-35</i></p><p><i>(D-132)</i></p>
