Summary:
Jesus tells His disciples that the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in His name, will teach and remind them of His words. He gives them His peace and urges them not to be troubled or afraid. Jesus explains that He is returning to the Father, who is greater, and He tells them these things beforehand so they will believe. Though the ruler of the world is coming, he has no claim on Jesus. Jesus obeys the Father so the world may know His love for Him.
Teaching
The Helper is mentioned in verse 26. Jesus is a Helper, and the Spirit is another Helper. God the Father is the One who sent the Helper to us. The Father sent the Helper in the name of Jesus.
The grace of the Father and the Son dwells in us through the Spirit of truth — and we become true people of God. As a result, our lives are not in vain, and we become people who work for the righteousness of the Kingdom of God.
Remember: He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.
