[틈틈이 영어공부] There's a good chance

- 영한 : ~할 가능성이 충분하다/많다/높다, ~할 확률이 높다, 아마 ~일 것이다.

- 영영 : Used to say that something is likely to happen or is probable.

- 설명 : 영어에서 'Good'은 단순히 '착하다'는 뜻 외에도 '상당한', '충분한'이라는 뜻이 있어서 "Good chance"는 "충분히 기대해 볼 만한 확률"이라는 긍정적인 뉘앙스를 풍길 때가 많습니다. 아울러, 비록 비가 오는 부정적인 상황에서도 확률 자체가 '충분하다'는 뜻으로 쓰입니다.
