In the beginning was the Word
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:1 -3)
The Word, Ho Logos, is the real name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christ is introduced as the Word at the beginning of the Gospel of John, and in the Book of Revelation, he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is The Word of God (Revelation 19:13).
The Word "said" in Genesis 1 are the same Lord who said to Moses, “I am who I am” (Exodus 3:14).
The Bible does not describe him as sitting high up in a certain place and giving orders, the Bible expresses the Word that fills all things in all things, saying, “said”
This is Jesus, who came into history in human being and bore the cross of redemption to cleanse Adam's sin.
Because He had to become a human to testify the Word to people and to pay for the sins of humans, the Word became human being for a while.
With this, we say that the Word became flesh and that it is the incarnation.
However, because he was sinless, the death of the cross could not put him in the tomb, but he rose again and declared to all nations, including the angels, that he was the Son of God and the Christ, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God.
By sending the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to testify that Jesus, who came as a human, is the Christ, and to believe in him as Lord, if you receive baptism from the place of sin on the other side of God and join Christ's atoning death on the cross and resurrection , you will receive the forgiveness of your sins and receive the Holy Spirit as a gift, we become united with Christ and can call God Abba, Father and approach his throne.
We become one with Christ in the Holy Spirit and are saved by calling on the name of the Lord.
We do not receive the human being Jesus as Lord, but after hearing the entire movement of Christ, we believe and receive him as the Word that created all things and said “said.”
Since a name refers to existence, if the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word, is limited to the name Jesus, it is like seeing the tip of an iceberg.
The Word that said, ‘said,’ who was the intelligence and subject of creation, came as a human being and then returned to the glory he had before the creation of the world, the Spirit of truth came within us through the Word, and after hearing this new commandment that made us one with the Word, we believe in him as our savior.
He says that those who receive him, those who believe on his name (John 1:12).
Nowadays, the name Christ is added after Jesus, but this is what I say to people who ask one to receive Jesus even if one believe in him, and when they ask one when one was born again and when one became a child of God.
You guys are so talented. What kind of talent did you use to attract Jesus from 2,000 years ago and receive him as your savior?
That is absurd.
We believe in Christ as Lord, the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us.
Paul talks about this in Romans 10, saying that Christ is the end of the law for all who believe, and the process by which this happens is that the Word is near, in our mouths and in our hearts, and the Word is the word of faith that we preach, the word that is believed.
He then says, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that He is alive in me, who was dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10: 4-9)
Our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again from the grave, becoming the resurrection and life of those who were dead in Adam.
Think deeply. The work of being rose again from the grave and the resurrection of those who died in Adam.
This is the reason why the gospel in 1 Corinthians 15 (15:12-49) is still closed.
Not only did He die for our sins, but He also rose again, ascended to heaven, and then sent the Spirit of truth to come within us and be with us forever.
Therefore, we must hear, believe, and receive that Jesus, who came in the flesh, is now Lord and Christ within us.
He is not saying that you should believe on the Jesus of 2,000 years ago as Lord.
Romans 10 is God's providence toward those who are in God's intention (Romans 9).
When God says, “I am here,” he has already given us his Son and then sends the Holy Spirit in us, the Word who came to earth as Jesus is now among us, we died with Christ from the place of flesh and blood and came back to life with Christ through baptism, we follow him to the place of the spirit, believe in his Son as Lord, and become his children.
So the word is near, it is in our mouth and in our heart, it is the word of faith that we believe.
We must obtain righteousness by carefully listening and believing that the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, has gone through a certain process to become our Savior.
We should not try to believe in the Jesus of 2,000 years ago by pulling him to us
We do not need to bring Christ down or bring him up (Romans 10:6-7).
God has already made us sit in heaven with the Lord in this one event where the Word came as a human being, died on the cross, rose again, and ascended to heaven (Ephesians 2:6), and the Holy Spirit came and explained the truth, therefore, through the grace, we received a gift of salvation of receiving Christ as Lord.
Therefore, reception or faith is not a zeal that starts from me.
However, thanks to the redemptive grace of Christ's cross, the Holy Spirit moves us to approach God the Father with earnest heart according to the truth, a response to God's call, and it is only right for us who have been saved to do so.
But our Lord Jesus Christ is the One who does not change the glory of his name one inch in response to any human reaction, whether it is our passion of faith or disbelief.
He exists as the Word, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
