Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play? 
I don't remember growing older
 이 처녀가 내가 안고 다니던 바로 그 작은 소녀
이 청년이 놀이에 열중하던 그 소년이었던가?
                나는 나이 드는 것도 모르고 있었네.                   

When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he get to be so tall? 
Wasn't it yesterday
  when they were small?           
언제 저들은 저렇게 커버렸는가?
그 작은 소녀는 언제 저렇게 미인이 되었지?
그 남자 아이는 언제 저렇게 키가 커졌나?
작고 귀여운 꼬마들이었던
시절은 이젠 지나버린 시절이었던가?

Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers,
Blossoming even as we gaze.
  해가 뜨고, 해가 지고
또 해가 뜨면, 해가 지고
세월은 화살처럼 흘러가고 있는거야
어린 나무는 밤 사이에 꽃으로 피어나고 

우리가 보고 있을 때도 피어나고 있구나.

그들에게 들려 주지? 어떻게 하면 그들이

편안히 가도록 도울 수 있을까?
이제 그들은 서로에게서 배울 수밖에 없는거야 
    날마다, 날마다.

They look so natural together,
Just like two newlyweds should be.
Is there a canopy in store for me? 
두 사람의 신혼부부가 그러하듯이
저들도 무척이나 자연스럽게 보이는구나.
거기에는 나를 가릴 수 있는 차양이 있을까?
