1. 오늘의 묵상칼럼 (11.1) : 주님께 뿌리내린 인생은 흔들리지 않습니다

   나무가 거센 바람에도 쓰러지지 않는 이유는 뿌리가 땅속 깊이 내리고 있기 때문입니다. 겉으로 보이는 줄기와 가지가 흔들릴 수는 있지만, 뿌리가 든든하면 다시 일어설 수 있습니다.

   우리의 신앙도 마찬가지입니다. 하나님께서 우리를 예수 그리스도 안에 깊이 뿌리내리게 하시면, 어떤 어려움과 시련이 찾아와도 믿음으로 견딜 수 있습니다. 우리의 힘이 강해서가 아니라, 우리를 붙들고 계시는 주님이 신실하시기 때문입니다.

  잠언 6장 20절은 자녀에게 아버지의 명령을 지키고 어머니의 가르침을 떠나지 말라고 권면합니다. 이것은 단순히 부모의 말씀에 순종하라는 가정교육만을 의미하지 않습니다. 하나님께서 주신 지혜와 말씀을 마음에 새기고, 그 가르침을 따라 살아가라는 신앙의 교훈이기도 합니다.

  부모의 신앙적 가르침이 자녀의 삶에 뿌리를 내릴 때, 그 가르침은 인생의 중요한 순간마다 바른길을 선택하도록 도와줍니다.

  또한 고린도전서 6장 19절은 우리의 몸이 성령께서 거하시는 성전이며, 우리 자신의 것이 아니라고 말씀합니다. 우리는 예수 그리스도의 구속의 은혜로 하나님께 속한 사람들이 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리의 인생은 더 이상 자신의 뜻과 욕심만을 위해 존재하지 않습니다. 우리 안에 거하시는 성령님을 의지하며 하나님의 영광을 위해 살아가야 합니다.

오스왈드 챔버스의 묵상처럼, 하나님께서 우리를 예수님께 뿌리내리게 하시면 어떤 일이 발생하더라도 우리는 견딜 수 있습니다. 주님께서 우리를 향한 구속의 목적을 이루어 가시기 때문입니다.

  사랑하는 성도 여러분, 인생의 환경은 언제든지 변할 수 있습니다. 건강과 형편이 흔들릴 수도 있고, 사람들과의 관계에서 어려움을 겪을 수도 있습니다. 그러나 우리의 믿음이 예수님께 뿌리내리고 있다면 절망할 이유가 없습니다.

중요한 것은 얼마나 큰 바람이 불어오느냐가 아니라, 우리의 뿌리가 어디에 내려져 있느냐는 것입니다.

오늘도 말씀을 마음에 새기고, 성령께서 거하시는 성전답게 살아가십시오. 주님께서 우리를 붙드시고, 우리를 향한 구속의 목적을 반드시 이루어 가실 것입니다.

<오늘의 결단>

나는 세상의 환경과 사람의 말에 흔들리는 사람이 아니라, 예수 그리스도께 깊이 뿌리내린 사람으로 살아가겠습니다. 내 삶의 주인이 내가 아니라 주님이심을 고백하며, 성령의 인도하심을 따라 하나님의 영광을 위해 살아가겠습니다.

<오늘의 핵심 문장>

  주님께 깊이 뿌리내린 사람은 어떤 상황에서도 흔들리지 않습니다. 하나님께서 자신의 구속의 목적을 이루어 가시기 때문입니다.

2. Today's Devotional Column (November 1) : Life Rooted in the Lord Will Not Be Shaken

    A tree can withstand strong winds because its roots grow deep into the ground. Its branches may shake and its trunk may bend, but when its roots are firmly established, it can stand again.

   Our faith is much the same. When God roots us deeply in Jesus Christ, we can endure whatever difficulties and trials come our way. It is not because we are strong in ourselves, but because the Lord who holds us is faithful.

   Proverbs 6:20 teaches children to keep their father's commands and not forsake their mother's teaching. This is more than a lesson about family obedience. It reminds us to treasure godly wisdom and instruction and to allow God's truth to guide our daily lives.

  The spiritual teaching we receive from those who walk with God can become a firm foundation that helps us choose the right path when life's challenges come.

  In 1 Corinthians 6:19, Paul reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we do not belong to ourselves. Through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, we belong to God. Therefore, our lives are no longer meant to serve only our own desires and ambitions. We are called to live under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and for the glory of God.

As Oswald Chambers reminds us, when God roots us in Jesus Christ, we can endure whatever happens. This is because the Lord Himself is working out His redemptive purpose in our lives.

  Dear brothers and sisters, our circumstances can change at any moment. Our health, our finances, and even our relationships may become uncertain. But if our faith is rooted in Jesus, we have no reason to surrender to despair.

What matters most is not how strong the wind becomes, but where our roots are planted.

Today, treasure God's Word in your heart and live as a temple of the Holy Spirit. The Lord will sustain you and faithfully accomplish His redemptive purpose in your life.

<Today's Commitment>
I will not allow the circumstances of this world or the words of others to shake my faith. I will live deeply rooted in Jesus Christ, confessing that He is the Lord of my life and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God.

<Key Thought>
A person deeply rooted in the Lord will not be shaken by any circumstance, because God is faithfully fulfilling His redemptive purpose.
