 I have been Beijing for 4days in last week. The tour was the extra prize of Marketing forum sponsored by Hyundai-motors. Thanks to Hyundai, I spent very meaningful time in the vacation. So, I will tell you some interesting things in Beijing. But I'm worry about that you may be not interested in China. If so, please listen carefully, and I wish this speech could be a chance to be interested in China and Beijing.

Firstly, Let me tell you the cars in Beijing. The tour was not for only enjoying. It was a kind of field trip. I've got some information of Beijing's cars.

As soon as I arrived at Beijing, cars on road were surprising me. Because, they are Folkswagen, Audi, BMW, TOYOTA, Honda, GM and so on.. It was 8 out of 10 except taxies. The street was an exhibition of World motors. It means two facts. First, Beijing people are very rich and the other fact is China's Car market is very large and most motor companies already have entered into China. It is 7th car market in the world. For example, Folkswagen takes the first place in market share as over 40%.

Additionally, I want to say about Hyundai-motors in China. Hyundai-motors entered into China in 2002 as a joint-venture company with Beijing Automotives. So now, Beijing Hyundai motors limited company is running in Beijing. According to some research, most Chinese people know Hyundai motors and like it. One of good news is, all taxies in Beijing will be changed into EF sonata and Avante XD until 2008. It makes happy not only Korean but also Chinese.

Secondly, I'm going to tell you the Food of Beijing. You may know that chinese food is very greasy. That's really true. I ate very expensive and high quality food. But all of them were not our taste. We missed Kimchi and 밥, 김치찌개 and so on.
And China is famous for eating various thing. There's a proverb about their food life. "Chinese eat everything except desk on land, airplane in the sky."
Actually I could see maggots, sparrow, kidneys of sheep, rotten tofu, sea horse, tortoise, snake, etc, in downtown street. Chinese was selling those food like our 붕어빵 or 호떡 in the street. It was very surprise. One of my colleague was eating  sparrow skewer and he said, "I'm feeling the movement of sparrow's eyes."

Additionally, I want to tell you about "Monkey head". I've heard this story from the tour guide. We think the monkey head is disgusting, but most chinese really want to eat that even though it is very expensive. Anyway in China, monkey restaurant  has a monkey cage. To cook a monkey, first, a chef come into the cage to select monkey. Surprisingly, monkeys already know that if the chef pick up a monkey, it will be killed. So, they beat the weakest and smallest monkey. Finally, the weak monkey get exhausted, other monkeys let it go with chef.  And in the kitchen, the chef open the alive monkey's head. At that time, the monkey shrieks with pain. And customers spoon up the alive brain very quickly. Because, they should eat the alive and delicious brain. If the brain is dead, it would be tasteless and meaningless. Eating monkey head means, eating the spirit of monkey. So they want to eat the alive brain. Isn't it interesting?
