안녕하세요 Charlie 입니다.

며칠전 아이폰 16이 공개되었죠.

다운타운 애플스토어에 아침부터 저녁까지 줄을 서서 아이폰을 기다리는 사람들의 모습이 정말 인상적이었어요.

목요일에서 금요일로 넘어가는 자정 무렵 퇴근길에 환하게 불이 켜진 애플스토어를 보면서 정말 대단하다는 생각도 했었죠.

오늘은 technology 에 대한 토픽이 스피킹이나 라이팅에서 나왔을때 사용하실 수 있는 표현 5개 준비했습니다.

technology-related English expressions

 1. Cutting-edge technology 

The latest and most advanced technology. 

첨단 기술

   - Example 1: "Smartphones are a great example of cutting-edge technology that has revolutionized communication." 

스마트폰은 통신을 혁신한 첨단 기술의 좋은 예입니다.

   - Example 2: "Many companies are investing heavily in cutting-edge technology to stay ahead of the competition." 

많은 기업들이 경쟁에서 앞서기 위해 첨단 기술에 많은 투자를 하고 있습니다.

 2. State-of-the-art 

The most modern and advanced. 

최첨단의

   - Example 1: "This hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment." 

이 병원은 최첨단 의료 장비로 갖추어져 있습니다.

   - Example 2: "The new smartphone boasts state-of-the-art features that improve performance and usability." 

새 스마트폰은 성능과 사용성을 개선한 최첨단 기능을 자랑합니다.

 3. Digital divide 

The gap between those who have access to modern technology and those who don’t. 

디지털 격차

   - Example 1: "The government is working to reduce the digital divide by providing internet access in rural areas." 

정부는 농촌 지역에 인터넷 접속을 제공하여 디지털 격차를 줄이기 위해 노력하고 있습니다.

   - Example 2: "The digital divide is a major issue in education, as not all students have access to online learning tools." 

디지털 격차는 교육에서 큰 문제이며, 모든 학생들이 온라인 학습 도구에 접근할 수 있는 것은 아닙니다.

 4. Tech-savvy 

Having good knowledge of technology. 

기술에 능통한

   - Example 1: "Young people today are more tech-savvy than the older generation." 

오늘날 젊은이들은 이전 세대보다 기술에 더 능통합니다.

   - Example 2: "Being tech-savvy is essential for most jobs in the modern workplace." 

현대 직장에서 기술에 능통한 것은 대부분의 직업에서 필수적입니다.

 5. Breakthrough technology 

An important and sudden advance in technology. 

획기적인 기술

   - Example 1: "Breakthrough technology in renewable energy is helping to combat climate change." 

재생 에너지 분야에서 획기적인 기술이 기후 변화에 대처하는 데 도움이 되고 있습니다.

   - Example 2: "Artificial intelligence is considered a breakthrough technology that will shape the future." 

인공지능은 미래를 형성할 획기적인 기술로 여겨지고 있습니다.

기술의 발전속도가 정말 무섭게 빨라지고 있습니다.

The ability to adapt to new changes is also a necessary skill.
