Greetings

It is my great pleasure to introduce myself to you. 

My name is No Won Park. I was born on September 9, 1943, in Yeongdong, a beautiful and quiet countryside town in Korea.
I am blessed with a large and wonderful family of eight: my wife, who runs her own business; my son, who is a pathologist; 

my daughter-in-law; four wonderful grandchildren; and myself. 

I majored in Public Health at university, where I built a solid foundation in health sciences.
I grew up under the guidance of diligent and charismatic parents.

My father, who has always been my firm supporter, was a strict yet highly respected figure in our family,

much like a commander to his seven children. 

Through his discipline and deep love, I learned the values of love, service, and putting others first. 

People often describe me as generous and polite. 

Once I commit to something, I always see it through to the end. Looking back at my life, 

I can proudly say that my experiences have taught me core moral principles, the joy of helping others, and the importance of self-discipline.

The Moral Principles of Education

During my 30-year career as a lecturer and professor, 

I developed a deep understanding of my students. I learned how to connect with them, approach teaching with the right attitude, and guide them through differing opinions to find common ground.
The Spirit of Global Volunteering I am always ready to extend a helping hand 

and passionately believe that sharing my knowledge with the world is my true calling. 

Over the years, I have dedicated myself to international educational medical service, spending 1 to 3 months in various countries to train local doctors and laboratory technicians. 

My medical missionary and volunteer journeys have taken me to Mongolia, Bolivia in South America, and four African nations: Madagascar, Uganda, Nigeria, and Ghana.
Through these valuable experiences, I taught advanced cytopathology techniques, guided medical professionals, 

and helped elevate local diagnostic qualities. 

I believe that helping others is a profound form of self-development, 

as it allows me to experience different walks of life and cultures. 

This global perspective makes it effortless for me to understand and embrace people from diverse backgrounds.
Doing My Best with My Potential
I always strive to excel in my field. Throughout my life, whether leading meetings, attending seminars, or volunteering worldwide, I have never neglected my academic pursuits. 

I manage my time carefully, believing it is the key to a meaningful life. I am confident that I will continue to use my potential to advance the field of cytopathology and bring happiness to those around me.

Conclusion
Early in my career, I started as a lecturer teaching histotechnology. 

Later, as a professor, I dedicated myself to teaching pathology and cytology. 

I have also guided many laboratory technicians to become certified cytotechnologists of the International Academy of Cytology (IAC). 

I possess deep expertise in cytopathology and its practical techniques.
While working hard is important, doing the job exceptionally well is what matters most. 

Having successfully completed my extensive educational volunteer services across the globe, 

I have gained invaluable international experience. 

I sincerely hope to continue sharing my lifelong expertise and remain the inspiring, 

dedicated teacher that any educational or medical field truly needs.

자기소개서 (Korean Translation)

여러분께 저를 소개하게 되어 매우 기쁩니다. 

제 이름은 박노원입니다. 저는 1943년 9월 9일, 대한민국의 아름답고 조용한 시골 마을인 영동에서 태어났습니다.
저는 개인 사업을 하는 아내, 병리과 의사인 아들, 며느리, 그리고 사랑스러운 네 명의 손주들과 저를 포함해 총 8명의 화목하고 대가족인 축복을 받았습니다. 

대학에서는 공중보건학을 전공하며 보건과학 분야의 탄탄한 기초를 다졌습니다.
저는 근면하고 카리스마 넘치는 부모님의 가르침 아래 자랐습니다. 

언제나 저의 든든한 지원군이셨던 아버지는 일곱 자녀를 둔 우리 가족에게 엄격하면서도 깊은 존경을 받는, 마치 사령관 같은 분이셨습니다. 

아버지의 규율과 깊은 사랑을 통해 저는 사랑하는 법, 봉사하는 법, 그리고 타인을 먼저 배려하는 가치를 배웠습니다. 

주변 사람들은 저를 너그럽고 예의 바른 사람이라고 말합니다. 

저는 어떤 일에 한 번 전념하면 항상 끝까지 완수해 냅니다. 

지나온 삶을 돌아보면, 그동안의 경험들이 제게 교육의 핵심적인 도덕적 원칙, 타인을 돕는 기쁨, 그리고 자기 절제의 중요성을 가르쳐 주었다고 자부할 수 있습니다.

교육의 도덕적 원칙
30년 동안 강사와 교수로 재직하는 동안, 저는 학생들에 대한 깊은 이해를 키웠습니다. 

학생들과 소통하는 법, 올바른 태도로 교육에 임하는 법, 그리고 서로 다른 의견을 조율하여 합의점을 찾는 방법을 배웠습니다.
글로벌 봉사 정신, 저는 언제나 도움의 손길을 내밀 준비가 되어 있으며, 제가 가진 지식을 세계와 나누는 것이 저의 진정한 소명이라고 열정적으로 믿고 있습니다. 

지난 수년간 저는 현지 의사들과 임상병리사들을 교육하기 위해 여러 나라에서 각각 1~3달 동안 머물며 국제 의료 교육 봉사에 헌신해 왔습니다. 

저의 의료 선교 및 봉사의 여정은 몽골을 비롯해 남아메리카의 볼리비아, 그리고 아프리카 4개국인 마다가스카르, 우간다, 나이지리아, 가나로 이어졌습니다.
이 소중한 경험들을 통해 저는 선진 세포병리학 기술을 전수하고 의료 전문가들을 지도하며 현지의 진단 수준을 높이는 데 기여했습니다. 

타인을 돕는 것은 저와 다른 삶과 문화를 간접적으로 경험할 수 있게 해주기 때문에, 곧 깊은 자기 발전의 형태라고 믿습니다. 

이러한 글로벌한 관점 덕분에 저는 다양한 배경을 가진 사람들을 깊이 이해하고 포용할 수 있게 되었습니다.
잠재력을 통한 최선의 노력
저는 항상 제 분야에서 탁월해지기 위해 노력합니다. 평생 동안 회의를 이끌거나 세미나에 참석하고 전 세계에서 봉사 활동을 하면서도, 학문적 탐구를 결코 소홀히 하지 않았습니다. 

시간을 잘 관리하는 것이 의미 있는 삶을 이끄는 열쇠라고 믿으며 늘 시간을 아껴 썼습니다. 

앞으로도 제 잠재력을 발휘하여 세포병리학 분야의 발전에 기여하고, 주변 사람들에게 행복을 전할 수 있을 것이라 확신합니다.

맺음말
경력 초기에는 조직학 기술을 가르치는 강사로 시작했습니다. 

이후 교수가 되어 병리학과 세포학 교육에 헌신했습니다.

 또한 많은 임상병리사들이 국제세포학회(IAC)의 인증을 받은 세포조직학 자격증을 취득할 수 있도록 지도했습니다. 

저는 세포병리학과 그 실무 기술 분야에서 깊은 전문성을 가지고 있습니다.
열심히 일하는 것도 중요하지만, 일을 탁월하게 잘 해내는 것이 무엇보다 중요합니다. 

전 세계를 무대로 광범위한 교육 봉사를 성공적으로 완수하면서, 저는 매우 값진 국제적 경험을 얻었습니다. 

이제 이 소중한 경험을 바탕으로 저의 평생의 전문 지식을 계속해서 나누고 싶으며, 

교육과 의료의 손길이 필요한 어느 곳에서나 영감을 주고 헌신하는 최고의 교사가 되기를 진심으로 바랍니다.
