**Spartacus**는 독일 프로그레시브 록 밴드 **Triumvirat**의 세 번째 스튜디오 앨범으로, 1975년에 발표된 대표작입니다. 이 앨범은 고대 로마의 검투사 **스파르타쿠스**의 삶과 노예 반란(기원전 73~71년)을 주제로 한 콘셉트 앨범입니다. 발매 당시 미국 빌보드 앨범 차트 27위에 오르며 Triumvirat의 가장 큰 상업적 성공을 거두기도 했습니다

《스파르타쿠스》는 독일 그룹 트라이엄비라트의 세 번째 정규 앨범입니다. 기원전 73년에서 71년 사이에 일어난 제3차 노예 봉기를 이끈 트라키아 검투사 스파르타쿠스를 소재로 한 콘셉트 앨범입니다. 가사는 한스 바텔트가 썼고, 위르겐 프리츠가 작사에 참여했습니다. 1975년 EMI에서 발매되었고, 이후 미국에서는 캐피톨 레코드를 통해 배급되었습니다. 빌보드 앨범 차트에서 27위로 데뷔했습니다.

이 앨범 이후 헬무트 쾰렌은 솔로 활동을 위해 밴드를 탈퇴했습니다. 2년 후, 그는 차고에 세워둔 자신의 차 안에서 카세트 플레이어로 자신의 곡들을 듣다가 일산화탄소 중독으로 사망했습니다.

이 앨범은 2002년 EMI에서 디지털 리마스터링되어 CD로 재발매되었습니다. 리마스터링 버전에는 "The Capital of Power"의 라이브 버전과 미발표곡 "Showstopper"가 추가되었습니다.
