A real friend

Dear friends,
Long time no see.
We had lots of snow here.
School is frequently cancelled or delayed due to the thankful snow to the children, although it is nervous and annoying to the adults.
One subject, snow, can cause a sense of happiness or annoyance according to their situation.

Today let me introduce my neighbors.
I have beautiful neighbors. Ten fingers lack to numerate their kindness.
There ia s bakery near my apartment. Five or more persons get together everyday in the bakery. A nice husband and wife run the store. There is an old man who lives with a puppy without any family among them. He took care of his old father and mother until both of them passed away. His sister sometimes prepares some food for a week. Then, he warms and eats it or buys some pre-made and packed food at the mart or MacDonald.
Yesterday he brought some spagetti to the bakery to share it with the couple. However, it was already in his refrigerator for over a week. In fact, it was too swollen and cold to eat. But the couple said nothing to him. Instead, when the old guy went out for a while, they made new spagetti for him without saying anything. I just told you a small example of their kindness.
Oh, did I tell you the man who made new spagetti is blind? He lost his eyesight due to an accident when he was in early twenties. He has lived in the darkness over twenty years. But one day he said, 'I can see everything when I close my eyes. I didn't not imagine that I can see the world again. But it's not so difficult. Try. Close your eyes and see the world. Can you see it?' I said, 'No.' How can I see the world or read others' mind? I cannot see my life and read my mind with this bright eyesight. He said his handicap gave him a brighter world. He never gets angry and always smiles. I have never seen him take a nap or take a full rest, even when he had a severe cold. he said that four hour sleep is enough for him. He seems to spare the rest time for his family and others. His wife rather depends on him rather than gets angry with her situation. They look so happy. It seems that I realize the meaning of a real happiness through them. They seem to know how to make others happy and how they can be happy.
Those who help others are not the rich or healthy people. I feel small and ashamed before them.
