Power english(New York's best food)
C: I'm so excited to be in New York! People come from far and wide just to eat the amazing food here.
R: I thought you came here to see me, not go on a foodie tour!/ C: Of course I'm here to see you! You're my best friend.
R: I'm just pulling your leg. I have my list of favorite places to eat that I'll take you to in the next two weeks.
C: I know you wouldn't let me down! Where to first?/ R: Midtown. I hope you're ready for the best pizza ever!
C: So, after we visit Statue of Liberty, where are we going for lunch?
R: There are two little French restaurants off the beaten path near Battery Park. I stumbled upon them a few years ago.
C: What makes them so special?
R: It used to be one restaurant, but the brothers who inherited in from their father couldn't agree on anything.
C: So, what did they do?
R: There was so much bad blood between them, they split the restaurant in two and now complete against each other at adjacent bistro.
A: Wow, this city doesn't disappoint when it comes to food.
B: For dinner tonight we're going to a Kensas City-style barbecue restaurant that doubles as a brewery.
A: Is this the place your girlfriend works at? I expect nothing less than perfect service.
B: Very funny! She's a manager there, so fight the urge to make me look stupid in front of her.
A: I can't promise anything. Plus, you do a pretty good job of making a fool of yourself without my help.
B: I'm already regretting this!
A: I can't believe how many different cuisines I've had these past two weeks.
B: Well, some of it was disappointing. I mean, the Thai food last night was nothing to write home about.
A: It was still good. But since we only have one day, how do you intend to rock my world?
B: There's a little deli in the East Village caller Morty's. Whenever I go, there's a line of locals out the door.
A: That's a good sign! Are the sandwiches good?
B: They make the best Reuben in the city!

Gaming might actually be good for your mental wellbing.
A study from Japan found that gaming can actually be good for the mental wellbeing of children and adults.
"Video games can be a distraction from daily life, provide stress relief, and promote a sense of accomplishment," said a professor working on the study.
He said that people can feel like they have control over things in their life when they are playing a game-especially when they are playing well.
When it comes to time spent playing vedio games, the benefits do wear off after about three hours in one sitting. After that, it can affect people negatively.
When it comes to the post-pandemic economy, Americans can't catch a break.
Although job growth is up and overall inflation is down, food prices are still high.
A recent mat published by an economic research firm lays bare the reality of the high price of groceries in the U.S.
On average, American households spend $270 per week on groceries, with the high being $334 per week in Hawaii and a low if $221 per week in Wisconsin.
Shipping costs and the refusal of companies to lower prices after the pandemic are the primary factors driving up prices.
In recent decades, cynical people have been seen as cool or more glamorous.
Sarcastic comedians, outspoken critics, and loud political pundits have gained notoriety and popularity thanks to social media.
Well, if living a shorter life is cool, then they win hands down.
It turns out that people with a generally negative outlook on life and on other people live shorter lives and are more likely to suffer from depression than optimistic people.
It may be a better idea to emulate the less popular happy people because they're going to be around a lot longer than the pessimist.
With the rising cost of living, many people have been limiting their travel. However, work-related travel continues as always.
This has given rise to a new kind of travel dubbed "bliesure," which is a combination of work and leisure.
While this isn't a new concept, many companies are giving their employees the green light to extend their work trips a little longer in order to reduce their vacation expenses.
This results in a happier employee because they saved money on their flight and had a brief vacation, and a happier employee because their employee isn't burned out and stressed.
