CELPIP Speaking Task 7은 Writing Task 2와 비슷하게 명확한 의견을 제시하고 그 이유를 설명해야 합니다.

준비시간이 30초밖에 되지 않아서 빠른 순발력이 요구됨과 동시에 Task 1과 같이 90초동안 말을 해야하는 파트라서 더 어렵게 느껴지는 파트입니다.

| 답변 준비 전략

1- 키워드에 집중하기

문제에서 핵심단어를 찾아내고 이를 중심으로 답변을 구성합니다.

2- 찬반 또는 선택 결정하기

30초안에 빠르게 입장을 정하고 입장을 뒷받침할 수 있는 2가지와 간단한 예시를 생각합니다.

3- P-R-E-P 구조를 활용하기 (1-2-1 구조)

조금더 구체적으로 설명드리면

P (Position): 자신의 입장을 명확히 밝히기 (찬성/반대 또는 선택).

R (Reason): 그 이유를 간결히 설명.

E (Example): 자신의 경험이나 구체적인 예를 제시.

P (Position): 입장을 다시 한 번 강조하며 마무리.

입장 (1문장) → 이유 1 (2문장) → 이유 2 (2문장) → 마무리 (1문장)

최소한의 구조로 효과적인 답을 구성할 수 있습니다.

| 고득점을 위한 표현 모음

셀핍 스피킹 고득점을 위해서는 명확한 논리를 전개할 수 있는 phrase 가 필요합니다.

의견 제시: In my opinion / I strongly believe that… / I firmly believe that… / In my view, it is clear that...

이유 설명: The first reason is that… / Another reason is that… / One major reason is that… / 

Additionally, it helps to…

예시 제시 : For example, in my personal experience… / A good example of this is...

마무리: For these reasons / I firmly support… / To sum up, I strongly support… / Therefore, I am confident that… 

• 고급 어휘와 구문을 사용하되, 지나치게 어렵지 않게 말해야합니다. Big words를 사용한다고 고득점이 나오는건 아니랍니다.

Do you think Canada should spend money on preserving its historical sites or spend money on scientific research and advances? Explain your reasons.

I believe Canada should prioritize spending on scientific research over preserving historical sites. Historical sites are important, but science offers greater benefits for society.

Firstly, scientific research improves lives. Advances like new vaccines and sustainable technologies solve global issues and help future generations.

Secondly, investing in science strengthens the economy. It creates jobs, attracts talent, and supports industries like technology and renewable energy.

Although historical sites preserve culture and attract tourists, their impact is limited compared to the transformative changes science can bring. Moreover, historical preservation can often be funded through private donations or partnerships.

In conclusion, while cultural heritage matters, I strongly believe that scientific research should take precedence as it addresses critical challenges and drives progress.
