Tourism Management vs Hotel Administration

Thank you for your interest in UNLV.  We must do some research on your school and the courses you completed before we can make a decision about your first Bachelor's Degree being too much to same as the courses we offer at UNLV.  It is quite possible that the Hotel Administration courses are different enough, to allow your admission to UNLV.  I suggest that you select Hotel Administration as your first choice major and another major very different from Tourism Management (possibly event management) as your second choice major.  If you do this, we will be able to admit you to UNLV if you are a good student.

The Advisor for our Hotel Administration College believes that your first Bachelor's Degree required many courses that are required here as well.  Therefore, you could not be admitted to Hospitality.  If you select Gaming or Recreation, you may gain admission but your study would be for the full degree program not the accelerated second degree program.  This means it will take about 4 years to complete.
