Bible Reading - Galatians 5:1~9

5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. 

그리스도께서 우리를 자유롭게 하시려고 자유를 주셨다.

Stand firm, then, 그러면 굳게 서라,

and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

그리고 다시는 노예의 멍에로 너희 자신들에게 짐지지 않게하라.

5:2 Mark my words! 내 말을 기억하라.

I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, 

나 바울이 말하노니 만일 너희가 너희 자신에게 할례를 받게 한다면  

Christ will be of no value to you at all. 그리스도께서는 전혀 너희에게 가치가 없을 것이다. 

5:3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 다시 나는 자신을 할례 받게 하는 자들은 모든 율법을 순종할 책무를 졌다는 것을 모든 사람들에게 선포한다.

5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.율법으로 의롭게 되기를 시도하는 너희는 그리스도로부터 소외되고 은혜로부터 떨어져 나갔다.

5:5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.

그러나 우리는 믿음으로 성령을 통하여 우리가 바라는 의를 간절히 기다린다.

5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. 

그리스도 예수 안에서 할례나 무할례나 어떤 가치도 없다.

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

가장(유일하게) 중요한 것은 사랑을 통해 그 자체를 표현하는 믿음이다.

5:7 You were running a good race. 너희는 좋은 경주를 하고 있는 중이었다.

Who cut in on you 누가 너희를 방해했으며

and kept you from obeying the truth?진리에 순종하지 못하게 막은 사람은 누구인가?

5:8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.

그런 종류의 설득은 너희를 부르시는 분에게서 나오지 않는다.

5:9 "A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough." 

약간의 누룩이 반죽 전체를 통해 일한다.(적은 누룩이 반죽 전체에 퍼진다.)
