1. Basically it means someone moves around so often he doesn't stay long enough

   in a place feel rooted anywhere.

   He never stayed home he was a wonder-er . 

   it means that he is a wanderer, vagabond, homeless; he does not settle in a fixed place.

     :  a person who has no home or job and who travels from place to place ].

   A person who moves about a great deal and never settles down.

  This expression‎ is a shortening of the proverb " a rolling stone gathers no moss "

  To say that someone is a rolling stone is to say that they will probably roll into your life

  and roll out just as quickly.

2. 그러나 다른 의미도 있다,

there is a saying "a rolling stone gathers no moss" it means to keep busy or moving.

 If someone is said to be a rolling stone, they are probably always on the go.

항상 바쁜 사람을 말하기도 하다~

always on the go. never staying in one place for too long.

Well the saying "Papa was a rolling stone" can be many thing including if was a man that moved from place

to place, a traveller, someone who just does not want to settle down.

It means that he was always moving, he didn't put down any roots. He had no ties to anything

Nobody knows, maybe because he rocks - in a good way.
Or maybe because he really was a rolling stone, which moved all around the world making things

to change for better.
