Bible Reading - Galatians 5:10~18

5:10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view.

나는 너희들이 다른 견해를 취하지 않을 것이라고 주님 안에서 확신한다.

The one who is throwing you into confusion 너희를 혼란 속으로 던지고 있는 자는 

will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. 그가 누구이든지 간에 벌을 받게 될 것이다. 

5:11 Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, 형제들아, 만일 내가 여전히 할례를 전하고 있다면

why am I still being persecuted? 왜 내가 여전히 핍박을 받고 있는가?

In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished(폐지되다).

그런 경우에 십자가의 걸림돌이(범죄가) 폐지되었을 것이다. 

5:12 As for those agitators(선동자들), 그 선동자들에 대하여 

I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate(거세하다) themselves!

그들이 완전히 망가져서 스스로를 거세하였으면 좋겠다!

5:13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. 내 형제들아, 너희들은 자유로워지기 위해 부름을 받았다.

But do not use your freedom to indulge(빠지다,탐닉하다) the sinful nature;

그러나 죄악된 본성에 빠지려고 너의 자유를 사용하지 말고 

rather, serve one another in love.차라리, 사랑으로 서로 섬겨라.

5:14 The entire law is summed up(요약되다) in a single command:

전체 율법은 단 하나의 명령으로 요약된다.

"Love your neighbor as yourself." 너 자신처럼 너의 이웃을 사랑하라.

5:15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, 만일 너희가 서로 물고 삼키기를 계속한다면 

watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

주의하라, 그렇지 않으면 너희는 서로에 의해 파괴될 것이다.

5:16 So I say, 그래서 내가 말한다.

live by the Spirit, 성령으로 살아라

and you will not gratify(채우다,기쁘게해주다) the desires of the sinful nature.

그러면 너희는 죄악된 본성의 욕망을 채우지 않을 것이다. 

5:17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit,

죄악된 본성은 성령을 거스르기를 욕망하고 

and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature.

성령은 죄악된 본성을 거스르기를 원한다.

 They are in conflict with each other, 그들은 서로 갈등 속에 있어서 

so that you do not do what you want. 그래서 너희가 원하는 것을 하지 못한다.

5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

그러나 만일 네가 성령의 인도를 받는다면, 너희는 율법 아래 있지 않다.
