Explorers with the Greak Lake Shipwreck Historical Society have located the wreckage of a cargo ship that sank in a storm in Lake Superior more than 130 years ago.
The Western Reserve was one of the first all-steel cargo ships to sail on the Great Lake.
The 300-foot freighter was supposed to be one of the safest ships afloat.
But as the ship entered Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay, a strom battered the ship until it crcked in half.
Twenty-seven people were killed.
The lake hid the ship's wreckage until last July.
The discovery was announced just over the weekend.
