Summary:
Paul emphasizes that salvation through faith in Christ is available to everyone who believes, without distinction between Jew and Greek. God is rich in mercy to all who call on Him. But for people to call on the Lord, they must first believe; to believe, they must hear; to hear, someone must preach; and for someone to preach, they must be sent. This highlights the necessity of preaching the gospel so that others may believe and be saved.
Teaching:
Our Jesus is the Lord of all people. He must become my Lord. No matter how good God is, if He is not my God, my Lord, it is of no use. For God to become my God, I must believe in Jesus.
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
This good news is the message that through faith in Jesus, we are set free from sin and death. The feet are called beautiful because they carry this good news - not just speaking it, but going to people and sharing the gospel in person.
Don’t just attend church—have the joy of salvation that comes through faith in Jesus and share with others the good news that saves us: the gospel.
