Not Kobe Bryant, or the Lakers, or their first-round playoff series against the Phoenix Suns, which became much more kinetic Wednesday after a 99-93 Laker victory at US Airways Center.

코비도 아니고, 호수인들도 아니고, 태양인과의 이번 시리즈도 그런거 아닌데.. 누가 뭘 갖고 그러는겨?? 더 활동적인 모습을 보여준 2차전... 적지에서 99-93으로 승리했지

Their 17-point lead got shredded and their nerves were almost frayed, but the Lakers ultimately ran away from the Suns, not the other way around, to even their best-of-seven series at 1-1.

Bryant, roundly questioned after an unusually quiet Game 1, had 29 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and made 12 of 24 shots. Lamar Odom provided another strong effort, scoring 21 points on nine-for-12 shooting.

1차전의 부진으로 머 저래? 라는 의구심을 가지게했던 코비... 오늘은 24개중 12개를 넣으면서 29점에 10리바, 5도움을 기록했지. 옥돔이 오늘도 완소모드였어.. 12개중 9개를 넣으면서 21점을 기록했지..

The Lakers had been 1-8 against the Suns over the last two seasons but remained quietly confident that their fortunes would change, their feelings backed up by a defense that stood resolute against the league's top-scoring team.

지난 2년간 태양인한테 1승 8패였지만... 자신감이 없었던건 아니었어.. 그들의 운이 변하게 될거라는, 그들의 삘이 지난 1차전 리그 최강의 공격력을 가진팀에게 견고한 수비를 펼치면서 점점 커가고 있었지...

Sun guard Steve Nash was more error-prone than usual, totaling 29 points and nine assists but also six turnovers. All-Star forward Shawn Marion had 13 points on five-for-15 shooting. Tim Thomas, who had 22 points in Game 1, was limited Wednesday to 11.

평소보다 실수를 많이 범한 엠뷔피. 29점에 9도움을 기록했지만 6턴오버를 저질렀지. 올스타 포워드 매련낭자는 15개중 5개만 넣으면서 13점만을 기록했지. 1차전에 22점을 넣었던 팀토.. 원래 실력으로 돌아왔지.. 11점.

"I thought defensively it was our night," Laker Coach Phil Jackson said. "I thought that was the best thing."

In Game 1, he scored 22 points on seven-for-21 shooting and was labeled passive, in a politically correct way, by pretty much everybody who mattered on the Suns.

He was more of a presence in Game 2, fighting through double teams, again finding open teammates and, this time, making open shots.

2차전에는 확실히 존재감을 더 보여줬지... 더블 다구리를 잘 버텨내면서 여전히 오픈된 동료들에게 찬스를 내줬고.. 이번엔 애덜들이 그걸 넣어줬지..

"In Game 1, we did an okay job. I just didn't make shots that I normally make," said Bryant. "Tonight everybody contributed. We are just trying to work hard on defense. We are attacking as a unit.

코비왈, 1차전에서 우린 플레이 잘했어. 그저 내가 평소에 넣었던 샷들을 못넣을뿐이었어.. 하지만 오늘.. 모든 선수들이 지 할일을 해줬지.. 그리고 울 수비는 여전히 빡세게 해줬지... 팀으로서 저넘들을 잘 공략해줬어...

"In the playoffs, everybody kind of has a rhythm for the game. During the regular season, we were trying to find our rhythm and I had to shoulder the scoring load. We know we can start attacking teams as a unit and not me going out there trying to score 40 or 50 points."

코비왈, 플옵에선 말야.. 모든 이들이 겜에 대해 리듬을 타고 있지... 정규시즌에선 그 리듬을 찾으려고 애쓴거였고.. 난 득점에 대한 짐을 떠안았던거지... 이제 우린 한 유닛으로 공격을 할 수 있어.. 더 이상 나 혼자 40점 50점 넣을 필요가 없는거야...

The percentages would have tilted steadily against the Lakers had they lost: Only 10 of 186 teams (5.4%) in NBA history have come back from a 2-0 deficit to win a best-of-seven series.

만약 오늘 졌다면 시리즈의 향방은 아주 OTL이 될뻔했지.. 리그 역사상 186개의 팀중 오직 5.4%에 해당하는 10팀만이 무승 2패에서 뒤집었었거든...

The Suns led, 22-19, and then, swiftly, a new series happened.

오늘도 태양인이 22-19로 앞서고 있었던거 아니었겠어? 근데 바로 그때부터... 새로운 스토리가 시작된거야...

The Lakers went on a 19-0 run that was started by a Sasha Vujacic three-pointer, highlighted by a Smush Parker dunk and punctuated when Jim Jackson drilled a 22-foot jumper against the team that waived him a month ago. The Lakers led, 38-22, and a crowd was hushed. The Suns, who made only seven of their first 27 shots, were stunned.

완소샤의 3점을 시작으로... 완소스의 덩크, 태양인들로부터 버림받은 완소짐의 22풋 점퍼 등등.. 19-0 run 이라는 기적적인 일이 벌어진거지... 관중들을 싸~하게 침묵시키는 순간이었지.. 첫 27개의 슛시도중 오직 7개만을 넣은 태양인들.. 완전 얼어버렸지...

"We looked like we were a little afraid to get going," Sun Coach Mike D'Antoni said.

태양인 감독 디안토니왈, 우리 스스로 그걸 해쳐나기기에 약간의 겁을 먹구 있었나봐...

Phoenix went scoreless for more than seven minutes in the first half and received just four points from its bench.

2쿼터.. 불사조들은 대략 7분간을 무득점으로 일관했지... 그리고 벤치로부터 고작 4점만을 지원받았지...

"I think it goes hand-in-hand with us being inexperienced and not making shots we normally do," Nash said. "We got a little bit down and started forcing shots. We also don't seem to be playing as hard as we normally do.

코비에게 인유어페이스 맛있게 먹은 엠뷔피왈, 우리의 경험없음이 드러난 순간이었던거 같아.. 쉽게 넣을 수 있는 샷들을 못 넣구 말았지... 약간 분위기가 다운되었나봐... 그래서 슛을 우겨넣을려고 했던거 같아... 글구 평소 우리가 하던 것 같은 빡센 플레이들을 못했던거 같아...

"In the first half, we weren't scrappy enough and offensively we panicked a bit. You can't give yourself a 15-point hole and expect to yourself to fight out of it and win in the playoffs.”

내시 계속 말하길, 전반에 우리들의 플레이는 산만했고, 공격에서 약간 패닉상태에 빠진것 같았어... 플옵에서 전반에 15점이나 뒤지고 역전시켜 승리를 거둔다는건.. 좀채 일어날 수 있는 일은 아니지...

Bryant picked up his third personal foul with 3:02 left until halftime and, funny thing, an 11-point Laker lead actually grew slightly in his absence. Kwame Brown converted a three-point play, Parker made two free throws after a flagrant foul by Brian Grant, Vujacic and Odom drained 3-pointers and Los Angeles actually widened its lead without its superstar to 53-38 at halftime.

전반 3분 2초를 남기고 코비가 3번째 반칙을 범하며 벤치로 들어갔지.. 11점차 리드를 하고 있었는데... 리드가 좁혀지겠구나라구 생각했겠지? 근데 완소쾀의 3포인트 플레이, 스무쉬의 자유투, 완소샤와 완소돔의 3점이 연달아 터지면서 슈퍼스타 없이 점수차를 벌리고 전반을 53-38로 마쳤어..

"Kobe is going to do his thing," Odom said. "Everybody was sticking to the game plan and we picked it up. We were controlling the tempo and we made them pay."

옥돔이왈, 코비는 그가 해야할 일을 할거야... 울 나머지들은 겜에 집중하고 우리가 해야하는 일들을 하는거지.. 템포를 조절하면서 저들이 스스로 말리게끔 해야해...

The big margin didn't last, the Suns too quick and too experienced to stay that far down with a half to go. Their comeback was gradual, and then came the ending.

하지만 점수차는 더 벌어지지 않고 태양인들이 야금야금 쫓아왔지.. 막판까지 아주 턱밑까지 쫓아왔어...

Raja Bell's 21-foot jumper beat the shot clock and brought the Suns to within 92-89 with 1:51 to play, and the Suns had a chance to tie after Bryant missed a pull-up 19-footer. But Bell missed from three-point range and, at the other end, Odom found Parker for a layup as the shot clock wound down.

라자 종소리가 공격제한시간 종료와 동시에 21풋 점퍼를 성공시키면서 1분 51초를 남기고 92-89로 추격했지... 코비가 19풋 점퍼를 놓친후 타이를 이룰 수 있는 기회가 찾아왔지만.. 종소리가 3점을 실패하고.. 옥돔이 스무쉬에게 패스해서 레이업을 성공시키면서...

The Lakers led, 94-89, with 49.3 seconds to play. The game was all but over.

"We had some dramatic plays down the stretch," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "I thought our composure was not what I like," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "But we were able to sustain the effort and get a couple of terrific plays -- one from Smush and one from Kobe. Kobe stayed very well inside of what we were trying to do. We kind of died on the vine a couple of times when the shot clock was running down. Then we were able to find that penetrating pass. We were able to find a couple of things that worked for us."

필사마왈, 막판 우리는 몇개의 드라마틱한 플레이들을 펼쳤지.. 막판 내가 바라는 평정심을 애덜이 놓치긴 했지만... 그래도 우리의 노력이 헛되지 않도록 잘해줬어... 게다가 두개의 멋진 플레이도 나왔자나? 스무쉬가 하나, 코비의 빅 타임 덩크 하나 말야.. 코비... 우리가 펼치고자 하는 작전의 중심에 서서 잘 해줬어... 샷클락에 쫓기면서 던진 샷들.. 돌파후 패스 해주는 것들.. 그런 것들이 잘 풀려서 다행이야...

"We moved the ball, we played great defensively as a team, we played great offensively as a team," said Bryant, already sounding the warning bell for Game 3.

코비왈, 볼을 잘 돌렸고... 팀 전체적으로 유기적인 수비가 쵝오였어! 팀으로서의 공격도 좋았구 말야..  하지만 코비.. 3차전에 대한 경계도 늦추지 않았지...

"They're an experienced team. This loss right here probably doesn't even faze them. They're going to come back and they're going to come back with a vengeance. We have to make sure we're ready for that."

코비왈, 저들은 경험이 있는 팀이야.. 오늘 패배가 그들에게 미치는 영향은 없을거야... 복수심을 가지고 컴백하고자 하겠지... 우리는 저들이 어떻게 나올건지 충분히 대비하고 있어야해...

Phil Jackson, for one, seemed to tire of the passive-aggressive debate in the days between Sunday and Wednesday. He looked forward to the fact there will only be one day between games the rest of the series.

필사마... (코비가) 소극적이냐 아님 공격적이냐에 대한 논쟁에 약간 지친듯했어... 그는 남은 게임이 어떻게 흘러가는지 두고 보면 알거라구 했고 말야...

"It won't give you guys as much time to think," he said to reporters before the game.

But Jackson remained stubborn and resolute up to the opening tipoff. The game plan would again call for pounding it down low to Brown, who had 12 points but only two rebounds in 36 minutes.

하지만, 필사마.. 2차전에서도 그의 전략은 완고하고 단호했지... 완소쾀을 이용한 골밑공략이 그거였어. 하지만 완소쾀... 오늘은 조금 부진했네.. 12점에 2리바를 기록했어...

Lamar Odom scored 21 points and made two critical hustle plays down the stretch for the seventh-seeded Lakers, who came up just short in Game 1 but stole home-court advantage with their second straight committed effort against the second-seeded Suns.

21점을 기록한 완소돔... 게다가 막판 두개의 허슬 플레이는 태양인의 홈코트 어드밴티지를 무력화시키는 최고의 플레이였었지...

"It's going to take a team effort to win and advance in the playoffs," Odom said. "These are games that we have to put together."

옥돔왈, 플옵에서 승리를 거두고 담 라운드로 진출하는 건 오로지 팀 전체의 노력이 가미될때만 가능하지... 우리가 하나되어 싸워야할 그런 게임들이야...

Odom shot 9-for-12, 3-for-5 from 3-point range.

옥돔이 12개중 9개의 샷을 넣고.. 그중 5개 시도해서 3점을 세개를 넣었지.

"Lamar is a dangerous player," Bryant said. "There are not too many like him in the league. As a matter of fact, he's probably the only one in the league that size who can handle the ball, post you up and shoot the 3."

코비왈, 옥돔이는 정말 단거러스한 플레이어야... 리그에서 이런 스딸의 선수를 찾아보기는 쉽지 않지.. 사실상, 그 키에 그 몸집으로 볼을 잘 다루고, 포스트업을 시도하고, 3점도 때려박는 이는 리그에서 옥돔 하나뿐이야...
