자연의 조개껍데기를 사람 눈 조각으로 바꾼 독특한 조개 눈 작품 컬렉션 33

조개껍데기를 그냥 조개껍데기로 보는 건 쉽다. 하지만 누군가 거기에 눈을 붙여 착용 가능한 예술로 바꿔준다면 이야기가 달라진다.

아티스트  Angie와 Yoori는 바로 그 변화를 Shell Oracle의 핵심으로 삼아, 자연과 인간 형태의 경계를 흐리는 매혹적인 수제 작품을 만들어냈다.

어린 시절부터 창작에 깊은 열정을 가진 두 아티스트는 각자 독특하고 전문적인 배경을 스튜디오에 가져왔다. 인터뷰에서  Angie는 문화 유산 복원을

공부하며 재료에 대한 민감성과 구조적 안정성, 땜질 기술을 익혔다고 말했고, Yoori는 12년간 미술 훈련과 패션 디자인을 하며 눈, 실루엣 같은 반복적 모티프를 탐구했다고 한다. 두 사람 모두 각자의 예술적 길을 걸었지만, 서로 만나면서 기술을 결합하고 Shell Oracle을 탄생시키겠다는 아이디어가

생겼다.

수년간의 협업을 통해 독특한 조개 눈 작품 컬렉션이 탄생했고, 팀 멤버인 Zan과 Shio가 합류해 점점 성장하는 스튜디오를 함께 만들어가고 있다.

이제 자연 조개를 고르고, 정교한 인간 눈 모티프를 조각하고, 재료를 다루고 최종 금속 구조물을 제작하는 등 아티스트들의 창작 과정을 직접 엿볼 수 있다.
