Commentary on the Gospel of John - Principle of Obeying the Word
If we listen carefully to the Word from chapter 1 of the Gospel of John, we ourselves become new beings.
John 14-16 are especially important.
If you continue to listen to the Word, your heart will become purified.
If you obey the truth, your soul will be clean (1 Peter 1:22)
Because I am right there after going through many stages of a mysterious process.
When God says that the soul is clean, it means that it becomes clean because it is in a clean place.
Because I am in the light, my heart becomes bright and cheerful.
My illness will end because I am in a place where I am free from illness.
Do you understand what it means to obey the truth?
This does not mean that you obey what is told you to do or not.
It is about catching up with the word of truth with faith.
That is what it means to listen to the Word.
However, many people say, ‘I am listening carefully to the pastor’s words.’
However, there are some who speak very as if they are enjoying graciously(?) the word.
However, in reality, the meaning of believing and obedience is listening to the Word of God and following the instructions of the Word (Romans 1:5).
I call this the movement line of Christ, but the Bible expresses it as the Lord's works.
If you listen to the Word and follow it with faith, you will listen carefully to what the Lord has done.
For example, while listening to the book of Hebrews, this is who Jesus is. Oh, that's right. I believe that through his death on the cross and his being raised, he delived us who were trapped in death through his death to life, and that the Lord is still the high priest who is pleading with God for us.
He is still alive and holding on to us, and he is the one who has experienced our human pain and has sympathized with our pain.
He is now our apostle. God sent him to me, and he is now a high priest who sits on the throne and always intercedes for us.
So, if we keep the boldness and pride of our hope until the end, we will become God’s house? Am I really becoming God’s house? Is this true? how?
If I hold the beginning of my conviction firmly to the very end, I become a partaker of Christ.
Ah, so it happens. Amen Amen. and agree to it.
This is how we follow the words.
This is what it means to hear and obey the Word.
However, the Bible says, 'for to us was the gospel preached, as well as to them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.' (Hebrews 4:2)
Then we ask, ‘Lord, how are we mixed with faith?
Then, God says through the bible, ‘Did you know that I sent Christ as an apostle?, so, I caused the Lord to die on the cross by shedding his blood, and then brought him back to life, through that, I moved you from death to life.'
And God says 'Do you know that my Son Christ, as a priest, acts as a mediator between me and you, a sinner, as a meeting place, prays, and strives to save you?'.
And we answer, yes, we know.
'So, if you knew, would you be able to come before me, before the throne of grace, through the Son?'
God calls like this:
If we accept this will of God, we must come to God.
When we come to God, we become mixed with faith.
The moment you receive grace and come to God through the truth, grace becomes confirmed as yours.
Then, being ignorant and foolish, we ask again, ‘How do I come to God?’
Then, take a look at Hebrews chapter 5, where the Bible says, ‘Isn’t my Son Jesus Christ presented to God with wailing, tears, supplications, and wishes, so that even a son learned obedience because of his reverence? (Hebrews 5:7-8)
So, you see and know that Christ, the Son, has become the model of salvation. Then, try that too.’ Then we realize, ‘Ah, then we can go before the throne of God’s grace,’ and we follow that path, carrying the cross of the Lord.
Many people sing, ‘Let’s fall into the Lord’s kind arms,’ but try to fall into the arms of the Lord too easily, without any procedures, methods, or principles.
I often see people getting carried away with their own feelings or trying to reach God through imagination.
However, if we want to be embraced by the Lord, we must let go of everything we are holding on to because of the grace we have received.
We must let go of sin, the flesh, our ego, and our greed.
To let it go, you have to cry, tear, pray, and petition.
We must cry out and pray with a broken heart, saying, “Lord, I can’t do it. There is too much unnecessary stuff. What should I do?”
Nevertheless, from chapter 7 onwards, God records in detail what Christ, who became the high priest according to the order of Melchizedek, did and will do again.
God tells us to come up that way.
He tells us not to stick to the earth, but to soar up into the heaven.
What people say is the rapture.
God tells us repeatedly and in detail that those who belong to heaven should not remain attached to the earth, but should come to God through the works of Christ.
And what does God say in Hebrews 8?
The new covenant, not the old covenant of Mt. Sinai, ‘didn’t it say that God’s law and God’s heart will be given within you?’
In doing so, Hebrews chapter 9 talks about the temple on earth and the temple in heaven, and in chapter 10, the entire process is summarized again.
He explains it over and over again without any gaps.
Because the law is a shadow of good things to come, and Jesus Christ is the reality, he has given you one Spirit in you so that you may become one body, and the Lord has made a new covenant, you have confidence to enter the sanctuary by his blood and come before the Lord along the new and living path that He opened through the veil, the path of life.
He encourages us.
God’s throne of grace is the destination of faith.
This is the goal in faith.
This means that as I listen closely to the words of Christ and follow them with my heart and mind in faith, I find myself inside the veil of the sanctuary and before the glory of the Holy of Holies.
Do you understand? What song are we singing then?
“Oh, this is a blessed land. Glory, glory, hallelujah.”
This is my confession that I have seen the glory of the Lord that cannot be repaid by praise.
Hallelujah, everything I’ve been searching for and struggling with due to deficiency has been resolved!
we praise.
It is a place where only praise, glory, and honor are given to the Lord.
That is a true blessing.
That's what it means to hear the Word.
Do you understand?
Listening to savory stories, interesting stories, moving stories, and useful stories is not listening to the word of God.
Therefore, do not say that you have received grace if you only hear stories that are beneficial to you.
Therefore, I hope that through obedience by hearing to the Word and following the Lord's movements to the end, your soul will be purified and you will come to love God passionately.
