<p>The Trump administration is asking the Supeme court to step into a dispute over massive firings of fedreal workers.</p><p>The administration wants the high court to block a federal judge's ruling that ordered rehiring of some 16 thousand probationary wokers across several agencies. </p><p>The judge found the firings did not follow federal law and demanded the administration immedately sent reinstatement offers.</p><p>In an emergency appeal, the administration says the judge did not have the authorities to order the rehiring, and it wants the high court to put his ruling on hold.</p><p>Sagar Meghani, Washington</p><p> </p>
